Claims
- 1. A compound having the formula: ##STR3## wherein R is: ##STR4## and wherein the broken line indicates a single or a double bond; R.sub.1 is hydroxy and is present only when said broken line indicates a single bond;
- R.sub.2 is iso-propyl or sec-butyl; and
- R.sub.3 is methoxy or hydroxy.
- 2. The compound of claim 1 wherein the broken line indicates a double bond, R.sub.2 is iso-propyl and R.sub.3 is methoxy.
- 3. The compound of claim 1 wherein the broken line indicates a double bond, R.sub.2 is iso-propyl and R.sub.3 is hydroxy.
- 4. The compound of claim 1 wherein the broken line indicates a double bond, R.sub.2 is sec-butyl and R.sub.3 is methoxy.
- 5. The compound of claim 1 wherein the broken line indicates a double bond, R.sub.2 is sec-butyl and R.sub.3 is hydroxy.
- 6. The compound of claim 1 wherein the broken line indicates a single bond, R.sub.1 is hydroxy, R.sub.2 is iso-propyl and R.sub.3 is methoxy.
- 7. The compound of claim 1 wherein the broken line indicates a single bond, R.sub.1 is hydroxy, R.sub.2 is iso-propyl and R.sub.3 is hydroxy.
- 8. The compound of claim 1 wherein the broken line indicates a single bond, R.sub.1 is hydroxy, R.sub.2 is sec-butyl and R.sub.3 is methoxy.
- 9. The compound of claim 1 wherein the broken line indicates a single bond, R.sub.1 is hydroxy, R.sub.2 is sec-butyl and R.sub.3 is hydroxy.
- 10. A composition useful for the treatment of parasitic diseases which comprises an inert carrier having a pharmaceutically effective amount of one or more of the compounds of claim 1 incorporated therein.
- 11. The composition of claim 10 which is a solid or liquid unit dosage formulation containing from 0.001 to 0.5% by weight of the active compound.
- 12. The composition of claim 10 which is a feed supplement containing from 0.0002 to 0.3% by weight of the active compound.
- 13. The composition of claim 10 which is a feed premix containing from 0.005 to 2.0% by weight of the active compound.
- 14. The composition of claim 10 which is a parenteral formulation containing from 0.005 to 0.5% by weight of the active compound.
