Claims
- 1. A method for the treatment of hyperglycaemia in human or non-human mammals which comprises administering to the mammal in need of such treatment an effective non-toxic amount of:
- compound of formula (I): ##STR11## or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, wherein each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, which may be the same or different, represents a hydrogen, halogen atom, or an alkyl or alkoxy group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, X represents an oxygen, sulphur atom or a methylene group, each of n and m, which may be the same or different, represents the number 1, 2 or 3, and p represents the number 2; with the proviso that when the moiety ##STR12## is present in formula (I), when either R.sup.1 or R.sup.2 must represent hydrogen.
- 2. A method according to claim 1, comprising the administration of a compound of the formulas (VI): ##STR13## or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, n, m and p are as defined in relation to formula (I).
- 3. A method according to claim 1, comprising the administration of 2-(2-oxazolin-2-ylamino) isoindoline, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof.
