Abstract
The present invention comprises a novel zippered pillowcase that provides for interior storage generally comprising of a pillowcase body with three closed sides and one open side that is outfitted with a full-length zipper. The storage pillowcase described here allows for the storage of voluminous soft items inside the pillowcase cavity. The user would open the full-length zipper and insert soft items like bedding, blankets, or clothes and the items inserted would serve as the pillows filling material. The user would be able to hide the stored items in plain sight; stored away inside the cavity of the storage pillowcase, which then would be placed on a couch or bed allowing valuable cabinet and drawer space to be freed up for other storage. The invention enables the user to expand their limited existing storage space beyond the usual storage options of drawers and closets.
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a novel storage solution. The present invention relates to pillowcases, and more particularly to a pillowcase having a full-length zipper to allow access to the entire interior cavity for the storage of voluminous soft items.

BACKGROUND

Small living spaces like studio apartments, college dorms, RVs, campers, or tiny homes all lack storage space. The storage of voluminous soft items like bedding, blankets, or bulky seasonal clothes all require large amounts of space. If those items are stored away in cabinets, drawers or closets the sheer volume of those stored items takes away valuable space usable for the storage of other items.

The solution to the lack of storage is the expansion of storage space through the invention of the novel decorative storage pillowcase with a full-length zipper that allows for voluminous interior storage.

The invention enables the user to hide any soft items like bedding, blankets, pillows, clothes, or the like in plain sight; stored away inside the internal cavity of the decorative zippered storage pillowcase, allowing valuable cabinet and drawer space to be freed up for other storage, thus solving the lack of storage space.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention comprises a novel storage pillowcase.

The invention generally consists of a large pillowcase where the only opening, ideally on the bottom of the pillowcase, has a full-length zipper closure.

Once the full-length zipper is opened all the way, allowing the user to get full access to the entire interior storage cavity, the storage pillowcase can then be filled with voluminous soft items. The soft items inserted would serve as the pillows filling material. After filling the pillowcase and closing the full-length zipper, the now filled pillowcase can be used as a decorative pillow to lean against or to showcase on a bed or couch or the like thus expanding closet space and solving the lack of existing storage. The storage pillowcase can be used in all living situations but is especially thought to be expanding the existing storage space available in small living situations like RVs, college dorms, tiny homes, and the like.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Some embodiments of the present invention are illustrated as an example and are not limited by the figures of the accompanying drawing, in which like references may indicate similar elements and in which:

FIG. 1 depicts a frontal perspective view of one example of the body of the pillowcase according to various embodiments of the present invention.

FIG. 2 illustrates a view of one example of the location of the full-length zipper.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE COMPONENTS

The (FIG. 1) body of large fabric pillowcase and (FIG. 2) the full-length zipper work together to create the storage pillow, a zippered pillowcase that provides interior storage for voluminous soft items.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and U.S. Pat. No. 6,189,747 B1 5 accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The terminology used herein is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of the invention. As used herein, the term “and/or” includes any and all combinations of one or more of the associated listed items. As used herein, the singular forms “a,” “an,” and “the” are intended to include the plural forms as well as the singular forms unless the context clearly indicates otherwise. It will be further understood that the terms “comprises” and/or “comprising,” when used in this specification, specify the presence of stated features, steps, operations, elements, and/or components, but do not preclude the presence or addition of one or more other features, steps, operations, elements, components, and/or groups thereof.

The present disclosure is to be considered as an exemplification of the invention and is not intended to limit the invention to the specific embodiments illustrated by the figures or description below.

The present invention will now be described by referencing the appended figures representing preferred embodiments.

FIG. 1 depicts a frontal perspective view of one example of the body of a zippered pillowcase according to various embodiments of the present invention. The pillowcase body FIG. 1 is opened at the full-length zipper side FIG. 2. to allow full access to the interior storage cavity. The interior storage cavity can then be filled with any voluminous soft items like bedding or blankets that are inserted into the cavity and now serve as the pillows filling material. Once the voluminous soft items are stored inside the cavity of the pillowcase and the full-length zipper is closed to seal the opening to the interior storage cavity, the pillow can then be left on a couch, daybed, cod, bed or the like. Storing the soft items in the decorative storage pillowcase opens additional storage in other locations that would have been used to store those items away.

As to a further discussion of the manner of usage and operation of the present invention, the same should be apparent from the above description. Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of usage and operation will be provided.

Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.

Claims
