Claims
- 1. A method for facilitating cloning, the method comprising:
(a) contacting a somatic nucleus with a composition comprising ISWI, wherein the composition remodels the somatic nucleus; (b) introducing the somatic nucleus of step (a) into an enucleated oocyte.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the ISWI is provided as a polypeptide.
- 3. The method of claim 1, wherein the ISWI is provided as a polynucleotide.
- 4. The method of claim 1, wherein the contacting is in vitro.
- 5. The method of claim 1, wherein the contacting is in vivo.
- 6. The method of claim 1, wherein the somatic nucleus and enucleated oocyte are derived from an animal.
- 7. The method of claim 6, wherein the animal is a human.
- 8. A method of facilitating dedifferentiation of a target cell, the method comprising the step of contacting the cell with a composition comprising ISWI.
- 9. The method of claim 8, wherein the ISWI is provided as a polypeptide.
- 10. The method of claim 8, wherein the ISWI is provided as a polynucleotide.
- 11. The method of claim 8, wherein the cell is a prokaryotic cell.
- 12. The method of claim 8, wherein the cell is a eukaryotic cell.
- 13. The method of claim 12, wherein the cell is a plant cell.
- 14. The method of claim 12, wherein the cell is an animal cell.
- 15. The method of claim 14, wherein the cell is a human cell.
- 16. The method of claim 8, wherein the contacting is in vitro.
- 17. The method of claim 8, wherein the contacting is in vivo.
- 18. A method of facilitating differentiation of a target cell, the method comprising contacting the target cell with a composition comprising an ISWI-inhibitor.
- 19. The method of claim 18, wherein the target cell is a eukaryotic cell.
- 20. The method of claim 19, wherein the target cell is an animal cell.
- 21. The method of claim 20, wherein the target cell is a human cell.
- 22. The method of claim 20 or 21 wherein the target cell is a neoplastic cell.
- 23. The method of claim 18, wherein the target cell is a plant cell.
- 24. The method of claim 18, wherein the ISWI inhibitor comprises an antibody.
- 25. A method of facilitating nuclear transplantation, the method comprising the step of contacting a somatic nucleus with a composition comprising ISWI.
- 26. The method of claim 25, wherein the ISWI is provided as a polypeptide.
- 27. The method of claim 25, wherein the ISWI is provided as a polynucleotide.
- 28. The method of claim 25, wherein the contacting is in vitro.
- 29. The method of claim 25, wherein the contacting is in vivo.
- 30. The method of claim 25, wherein the somatic nucleus is derived from an animal.
- 31. The method of claim 30, wherein the animal is a human.
