- 5. The compound of claim 4, wherein R5 is hydrogen.
- 6. The compound as defined in claim 1 which has the formula:
- 7. A compound having the formula:
- 8. The compound of claim 7, wherein:
R1 is hydrogen; R2 is boc and 3,5-bis trifluorobenzoyl; and R4 is OCH3 and OtButyl;
- 9. The compound of claim 8, wherein y has the formula:
- 10. A kit for providing a radiolabeled Positron Emission Tomography imaging agent, comprising:
a first container which contains a compound having the formula 63 wherein X is a leaving group which allows nucleophilic radiofluorination at the position of X in the presence of soluble reactive [18F]fluoride ion; Y is a radical which contains an electron-withdrawing or directing group such that when said group is subjected to a Baeyer-Villiger Reaction an oxygen is directly attached to the aromatic ring at a location which is in a para position relative to X; R1 is hydrogen, halomethyl, acyloxymethyl of 1-4 carbons, formyl, acyl polyfluoroacyl of 2-3 carbons, sulfonyl and phosphoryl, such that R1 is readily converted to hydrogen upon treatment with acid or aqueous base, or a cyclic fusion with R4 to form a 4-7 membered ring, with bridging atoms being C, O, or N, P, or S, such that R4 is readily converted to OH upon treatment with acid, aqueous base or oxidizing conditions; R2 is hydrogen, C2-C7 normal branched, or cyclic saturated or unsaturated alkyl and alkoxyalkyl, boc, benzyloxycarbonyl and simple substituted boc or benzyloxycarbonyl carbamate derivatives, formyl, acyl, polyfluoroacyl of 2-3 carbons, sulfonyl and phosphoryl, such that R2 is readily converted to hydrogen upon treatment with acid or aqueous base; R4 is OtBu, OCH3, other C2-C7 normal branched, or cyclic saturated or unsaturated alkoxy, and cyclic fusions with R1 to form a 4-7 membered ring, with bridging atoms being C, O, or N, , P, or S, such that R4 is readily converted to OH upon treatment with acid, aqueous base or oxidizing conditions; and R5 is hydrogen or a radical that can be converted to a phenolic OH group during or after said Baeyer-Villiger Reaction; and a second container which contains a polar aprotic solvent for dissolving said compound.
- 11. The kit of claim 10, wherein X is —N+(CH3)3.
- 12. The kit of claim 11 wherein y has the formula:
- 13. The kit of claim 12, wherein:
R1 is hydrogen; R2 is t-butyloxycarbonyl; and R4 is OCH3.
- 14. The kit of claim 13, wherein R5 is hydrogen.
- 15. The kit of claim 10 wherein said compound has the formula:
