Claims
- 1. An optic for deflection of light having at least four optic elements in side-by-side relation, each optic element being discontinuous in its optical effect from the adjacent optic elements said optic elements providing at least one element having positive spherical power, at least one element having negative spherical power, at least one first cross cylinder element of a first astigmatic power, and, at least one second cross cylinder element of a second astigmatic power relative to the astigmatic power of said first cross-cylinder element.
- 2. An optic comprising in combination at least four side-by-side elements having distinctly different side-by-side and discontinuous optical effects with one element having positive spherical power; at least one element having negative spherical power and at least one cross cylinder element of a first astigmatic power and at least one element of cross cylinder element having second astigmatic power relative to the first astigmatic power of said first lens.
- 3. The invention of claim 2 and wherein all said elements are refractive.
- 4. An optic for the deflection of light having at least four optic elements in side-by-side relation, each optic element being discontinuous in its optical effect from the adjacent optic elements and having at least one optically active surface, said optic elements including an array of at least four prismatic elements, each of said prismatic elements for deflecting light over a surface in a different direction.
