Claims
- 1. An article of clothing adapted to cover at least a portion of at least one of the torso, the waist and the head of a person wearing said article of clothing, the article being air permeable and comprising:
an odor absorbing substance incorporated into the article of clothing wherein the odor absorbing substance is susceptible to reactivation through the act of washing and drying the article of clothing; and at least one of a bright, highly visible color scheme and camouflage color scheme provided on an exterior surface of said article of clothing; whereby the odor absorbing substance absorbs at least a portion of the odors emanating from the wearer of said article of clothing thereby reducing the chances of wildlife detecting the wearer through the sense of smell.
- 2. An article of clothing according to claim 1 wherein the odor absorbing substance comprises activated charcoal.
- 3. An article of clothing according to claim 2 wherein the activated charcoal is in the range of 5 g/m2 to 120 g/m2.
- 4. An article of clothing according to claim 2 wherein the article of clothing is water repellant.
- 5. An article of clothing according to claim 2 wherein the article of clothing is water resistant.
- 6. An article of clothing according to claim 2 wherein the article of clothing is thermally insulated.
- 7. An article of clothing according to claim 2 wherein said article of clothing comprises a coat.
- 8. An article of clothing according to claim 2 wherein said article of clothing comprises a one-piece body suit.
- 9. An article of clothing according to claim 2 wherein said article of clothing comprises a mask.
- 10. An article of clothing according to claim 2 wherein said article of clothing comprises a hat.
- 11. An article of clothing according to claim 2 wherein said article of clothing comprises a shirt.
- 12. An article of clothing according to claim 2 wherein said article of clothing comprises a pair of pants.
- 13. An article of clothing according to claim 2 wherein the article of clothing is water repellant.
- 14. An article of clothing according to claim 2 wherein the article of clothing comprises a base layer and the activated charcoal is impregnated into the base layer.
- 15. An article of clothing according to claim 2 wherein the article of clothing comprises a base layer and the activated charcoal is bonded to the base layer.
- 16. An article of clothing according to claim 1 wherein the article of clothing comprises a base layer and the odor absorbing substance is impregnated into the base layer.
- 17. An article of clothing according to claim 1 wherein the article of clothing comprises a base layer and the odor absorbing substance is bonded to the base layer.
- 18. An article of clothing according to claim 1 wherein the article of clothing is water resistant.
- 19. An article of clothing according to claim 1 wherein the article of clothing is thermally insulated.
- 20. An article of clothing according to claim 1 wherein said article of clothing comprises a coat.
- 21. An article of clothing according to claim 1 wherein said article of clothing comprises a one-piece body suit.
- 22. An article of clothing according to claim 1 wherein said article of clothing comprises a mask.
- 23. An article of clothing according to claim 1 wherein said article of clothing comprises a hat.
- 24. An article of clothing according to claim 1 wherein said article of clothing comprises a shirt.
- 25. An article of clothing according to claim 1 wherein said article of clothing comprises a pair of pair of pants.
- 26. A system for reducing human odors:
a first article of clothing adapted to cover one of the torso region and groin region of a person wearing said article of clothing, said first article of clothing being air permeable and incorporating an odor absorbing substance in an amount sufficient to reduce the naturally occurring body odors of a person wearing said article of clothing; and a second article of clothing being air permeable and incorporating an odor absorbing substance in an amount sufficient to reduce the naturally occurring body odors of a person wearing said article of clothing; wherein the odor absorbing substance of the first and second articles of clothing, when worn by an individual, combine to reduce the odors emanating from the wearer and thereby reduce the chance of detection of the wearer by wildlife having an acute sense of smell.
- 27. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 26 wherein the second article of clothing comprises a mask.
- 28. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 26 wherein the second article of clothing comprises a pair of socks.
- 29. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 26 where the second article of clothing comprises a hat.
- 30. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 26 where the second article of clothing comprises a pair of gloves.
- 31. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 26 where the second article of clothing comprises a pair of pants.
- 32. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 26 and wherein said first and second articles of clothing are air permeable.
- 33. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 26 wherein at least one of said first and second articles of clothing is water repellant.
- 34. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 26 and further comprising a camouflage color scheme provided on at least one of the first and second articles of clothing.
- 35. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 26 wherein at least one of said first and second articles of clothing is adapted to cover the pelvic regions of a person wearing the said first and second articles of clothing.
- 36. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 26 wherein at least one of said first and second articles of clothing is adapted to cover at least a portion of the face of a person wearing said first and second articles of clothing.
- 37. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 26 wherein at least one of said first and second articles of clothing is thermally insulated.
- 38. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 26 wherein the odor absorbing substance incorporated in at least one of the first and second articles of clothing comprises activated charcoal.
- 39. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 38 wherein the activated charcoal is impregnated in said at least one of the first and second articles of clothing.
- 40. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 38 wherein the activated charcoal is bonded to said at least one of the first and second articles of clothing.
- 41. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 26 wherein the odor absorbing substance is impregnated in said at least one of the first and second articles of clothing.
- 42. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 26 wherein the odor absorbing substance is bonded to said at least one of the first and second articles of clothing.
- 43. A system for reducing human odors according to claim 26 wherein at least one of said first and second articles of clothing is a shirt.
- 44. An article of clothing adapted to be worn as the outer layer and adapted to cover the torso region of a person wearing said article of clothing, said article of clothing being air permeable and incorporating an odor absorbing substance in an amount sufficient to reduce the wearer's naturally occurring body odors thereby reducing the chances of wildlife detecting the wearer through the sense of smell.
- 45. An article of clothing according to claim 44 wherein the odor absorbing substance comprises activated charcoal.
- 46. An article of clothing according to claim 45 wherein the activated charcoal is in the range of 5 g/m2 to 120 g/m2.
- 47. An article of clothing according to claim 45 and further comprising a camouflage color scheme provided on the article of clothing.
- 48. An article of clothing according to claim 47 wherein the article of clothing is water repellant.
- 49. An article of clothing according to claim 47 wherein said article of clothing is water resistant.
- 50. An article of clothing according to claim 45 wherein said article of clothing is adapted to cover the groin region of the wearer
- 51. An article of clothing according to claim 45 wherein said article of clothing comprises a coat.
- 52. An article of clothing according to claim 45 wherein said article of clothing comprises a one-piece body suit.
- 53. An article of clothing according to claim 45 wherein said article of clothing is thermally insulated.
- 54. An article of clothing according to claim 45 wherein said activated charcoal is impregnated in said article of clothing.
- 55. An article of clothing according to claim 45 wherein said activated charcoal is bonded to said article of clothing.
- 56. An article of clothing according to claim 44 wherein said odor absorbing substance is impregnated in said article of clothing.
- 57. An article of clothing according to claim 44 wherein said odor absorbing substance is bonded to said article of clothing.
- 58. An article of clothing adapted to cover the torso region of a person wearing said article of clothing, said article of clothing being air permeable and incorporating activated charcoal in an amount sufficient to reduce the wearer's naturally occurring body odors thereby reducing the chances of wildlife detecting the wearer through the sense of smell.
- 59. An article of clothing according to claim 58 and further comprising a camouflage color scheme provided on the article of clothing.
- 60. An article of clothing according to claim 59 wherein said article of clothing is water repellant.
- 61. An article of clothing according to claim 59 wherein said article of clothing is water resistant.
- 62. An article of clothing according to claim 59 wherein said article of clothing is adapted to cover the groin region of the wearer.
- 63. An article of clothing according to claim 59 wherein said article of clothing is adapted to cover at least a portion of the head of the wearer.
- 64. An article of clothing according to claim 58 wherein said article of clothing further comprises a base layer having an inner surface and an outer surface and said activated charcoal is incorporated into the base layer intermediate the inner and outer surfaces.
- 65. An article of clothing according to claim 58 wherein said article of clothing further comprises a base layer has an inner surface and an outer surface and said activated charcoal is provided on the outer surface of the base layer.
- 66. An article of clothing according to claim 58 further comprising a base layer and an outer layer mounted to the base layer, said outer layer having an inner surface and an outer surface, the inner surface of the outer layer being adjacent the outer surface of the base layer and the activated charcoal being provided intermediate the inner surface of the base layer and the outer surface of the outer layer.
- 67. An article of clothing according to claim 59 wherein the article of clothing comprises a coat.
- 68. An article of clothing according to claim 59 wherein the article of clothing comprises a one-piece body suit.
- 69. An article of clothing according to claim 59 wherein the article of clothing is adapted to be worn as the outermost layer of clothing worn by a person wearing said article of clothing.
- 70. An article of clothing according to claim 59 wherein the article of clothing comprises a shirt.
- 71. An article of clothing according to claim 58 wherein the article of clothing comprises a base layer and the activated charcoal is impregnated in the base layer.
- 72. An article of clothing adapted to cover at least a portion of at least one of the torso, the waist and the head of a person wearing said article of clothing, the article being air permeable and comprising:
an odor absorbing substance incorporated into the article of clothing wherein the odor absorbing substance is susceptible to reactivation through the act of drying the article of clothing; and at least one of a bright, highly visible color scheme and camouflage color scheme provided on an exterior surface of said article of clothing; whereby the odor absorbing substance absorbs at least a portion of the odors emanating from the wearer of said article of clothing thereby reducing the chances of wildlife detecting the wearer through the sense of smell.
- 73. An article of clothing according to claim 72 wherein the odor absorbing substance comprises activated charcoal.
- 74. An article of clothing according to claim 73 wherein the activated charcoal is in the range of 5 g/m2 to 120 g/m2.
- 75. An article of clothing according to claim 73 wherein the article of clothing is water repellant.
- 76. An article of clothing according to claim 73 wherein the article of clothing is water resistant.
- 77. An article of clothing according to claim 73 wherein the article of clothing is thermally insulated.
- 78. An article of clothing according to claim 73 wherein said article of clothing comprises a coat.
- 79. An article of clothing according to claim 73 wherein said article of clothing comprises a one-piece body suit.
- 80. An article of clothing according to claim 73 wherein said article of clothing comprises a mask.
- 81. An article of clothing according to claim 73 wherein said article of clothing comprises a hat.
