Claims
- 1. A composition of matter of the formula:
- R--Y(CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O).sub.m (CH.sub.2).sub.n SO.sub.3 X
- wherein
- R is a dicyclopentenyl moiety,
- Y is a divalent moiety selected from the group consisting of oxygen and sulfur,
- X is a cation selected from the group consisting of sodium, potassium and ammonium,
- n is an integer of from 2 to 3,
- m is an integer of from 1 to 10 with the proviso that when Y is sulfur, m is an integer of from 2 to 10.
- 2. The composition of matter of claim 1 wherein m is an integer of from 2 to 6.
- 3. The composition of matter of claim 1 wherein X is sodium.
- 4. The composition of matter of claim 1 wherein Y is oxygen, m is 3, n is 2 and X is sodium.
