Claims
- 1. An improved surfactant and hydrocarbon solvent oil dispersing composition wherein the improved composition consists of a hydrocarbon solvent and a surfactant or mixture of surfactants having the formula: ##STR5## where R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are the same or different oxyalkylene or polyoxyalkylene groups, represented by the formula:
- H(OCH.sub.2 CH.sub.2)x,
- wherein x is an integer of from 1 to about 25; and R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are the same or different alkyl or alkenyl groups having from about 8 to 20 carbon atoms; whereby the composition improves dispersion of heavy or waxy crude oil slicks of oil having a viscosity ranging from about 2,000 to about 15,000 centipoise at 25.degree. C.
- 2. The composition of claim 1 wherein the solvent is selected from the group consisting of paraffinic, napthenic and aromatic solvent and mixtures thereof.
- 3. The composition of claim 2 wherein the surfactant consists of about 5 to 65 wt. % of the total weight of the composition.
