Abstract
The present disclosure relates to the technical field of underwear. A bra cup and a bra are disclosed. The bra cup has an outer cover layer and a filling layer, where the filling layer is arranged on a side of the outer cover layer located on an arc-shaped concave surface. Compared with bra cups which are laminated by a fabric and a lining, a lining of the bra cup provided by the present disclosure is removed. Since the filling layer is only distributed in parts that need to be supported, the thickness of an outer edge of the cup is reduced to avoid the stiffness of the outer edge, thereby improving the breathability.
Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present disclosure relates to the technical field of underwear, in particular to a bra cup and a bra.

BACKGROUND

Women's breasts are mostly composed of fatty tissues, with some ligaments and skin providing internal support. However, these supports are sometimes insufficient to support the breasts, which can easily cause breast pain and discomfort in daily life. Bras, as close-fitting clothing, are mainly used to provide support to wearer's breasts and protect the breasts. A bra usually consists of two bra cups, a cradle part, shoulder straps and other structures.

When making padded bra cups, some practices are to place padding between two pieces of fabric and lining that have the same length and width, completely overlap outer edges of the fabric and the lining, and suture and fix the outer edges. These practices make the entire outer edge stiff and affect the breathability, which in turn affects the user's wearing comfort.

SUMMARY

A main objective of the present disclosure is to propose a bra cup and a bra, aiming to solve the technical problem that outer edges of a fabric and a lining in the bra cups are completely overlapped, causing the outer edges to be stiff and affecting the breathability.

In view of this, the present disclosure proposes a bra cup. which includes:

    • an outer cover layer having an arc-shaped concave surface; and
    • a filling layer arranged on the outer cover layer and located on the arc-shaped concave surface.

Alternatively, the bra cup further includes:

    • an inner cover layer, where the inner cover layer is located an inner side of the outer cover layer where the arc-shaped concave surface is located, and an outer edge of the inner cover layer is connected to the outer cover layer; the outer edge of the inner cover layer partially overlaps with an outer edge of the outer cover layer; and the filling layer is located between the inner cover layer and the outer cover layer.

Alternatively, the inner cover layer has a single-layer structure or a multi-layer structure.

Alternatively, the filling layer is located at any one or more of a bottom end, a top end, and a side end of the arc-shaped concave surface.

Alternatively, the bra cup further includes:

    • a middle layer, where the middle layer is located between the filling layer and the outer cover layer; and an outer edge of the filling layer does not extend beyond an outer edge of the middle layer.

Alternatively, the outer cover layer and the middle layer, the middle layer and the filling layer, and the filling layer and the inner cover layer are all bonded with a hot melt adhesive.

Alternatively, the outer cover layer and the filling layer, and the filling layer and the inner cover layer are both bonded with a hot melt adhesive.

Alternatively, the filling layer is one of:

    • a polyurethane foam, an air bag, an oil bag, a spacer fabric, a silicone product, a fabric, a fibrefill, and thermoplastic.

Alternatively, the bra cup includes one or more filling layers.

Another technical scheme proposed by present disclosure is as follows: a bra includes a pair of bra cups as described above.

Compared with the existing technology, the present disclosure provides the bra cup and the bra, where the bra cup has the outer cover layer and the filling layer, and the filling layer is arranged on the side of the outer cover layer located on the arc-shaped concave surface. Compared with bra cups which are laminated by a fabric and a lining, a lining of the bra cups provided by the present disclosure is removed. Since the filling layer is only distributed in parts that need to be supported, the thickness of the outer edge of the bra cup is reduced to avoid the stiffness of the outer edge, thereby improving the breathability.

Moreover, the thin outer edges of the bra cups facilitate to achieve a seamless effect and to improve the wearing comfort of wearer.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The technical schemes in the embodiments of the present disclosure will be clearly and thoroughly described below with reference to the accompanying drawings in the embodiments of the present disclosure. Obviously, the described embodiments are only some of the embodiments of the present disclosure, rather than all of the embodiments. Based on the embodiments in the present disclosure, all other embodiments obtained by those of ordinary skill in the art without creative efforts fall within the protection scope of the present disclosure.

The present disclosure aims to alleviate partially the technical problem that outer edges of a fabric and a lining in the existing bra cups are completely overlapped, causing the outer edges to be stiff and affecting the breathability. A bra cup and a bra are provided in embodiments of the present disclosure. The bra cup has an outer cover layer and a filling layer. The filling layer is arranged on a side of the outer cover layer located on an arc-shaped concave surface. Compared with bra cups which are laminated by a fabric and a lining, a lining of the bra cups provided by the present disclosure is removed. Since the filling layer is only distributed in parts that need to be supported, the thickness of an outer edge of the bra cup is reduced to avoid the outer edge to be stiff, thereby improving the breathability, see the following embodiments for details.

Referring to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, a first embodiment of the present disclosure provides a bra cup 10. The bra cup 10 includes an outer cover layer 11 and a filling layer 12. The outer cover layer 11 has an arc-shaped concave surface 111. The filling layer 12 is arranged on the outer cover layer 11 and located on the arc-shaped concave surface 111.

It can be understood that the outer edge of the bra cup refers to an outermost part of the entire bra cup. The bra cup is usually sutured with a fabric and a lining. The sutured part is the outer edge of the bra cup, that is, the outer edge of the bra cup is laminated by the fabric, the lining and seams together, making the outer edge of the bra cup thicker, causing the outer edge of the bra cup to be stiff and affecting the breathability. The bra cup 10 provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure are applied in a bra and are wrapped around the wearer's breasts when worn. The bra cup 10 has the outer cover layer 11 and the filling layer 12. The outer cover layer 11 is formed with the arc-shaped concave surface 111, which is used to accommodate the wearer's breasts when worn. The filling layer 12 is located in the arc-shaped concave surface 111. The thickness and size of the filling layer 12 are designed to fit with the wearer's breasts to fill a gap between the outer cover layer 11 and the wearer's breasts, thereby supporting the wearer's breasts and improving the aesthetic effect of the body. Compared with bra cups which are laminated by a fabric and a lining, the bra cup 10 provided by the present disclosure omit a lining. The bra cup 10 merely consists of the outer cover layer 11 and the filling layer 12, and the filling layer 12 is arranged on a side of the outer cover layer 11 located on the arc-shaped concave surface 111. Since the filling layer is only distributed in parts that need to be supported, the thickness of an outer edge of the bra cup 10 is reduced to avoid the stiffness of the outer edge, thereby improving the breathability and facilitating improving the comfort of the wearer. Especially when wearing casual clothes such as T-shirt, the thin outer edge of the bra cup 10 is conducive to achieve a seamless effect and improve the wearing experience of wearer. The bra cup 10 in the present disclosure is discussed as an individual part separated from the bra. In actual use, the bra cup 10 will be connected to a cradle part, shoulder straps and other structures.

Referring to FIGS. 3, 4 and 5, in some embodiments, the bra cup 10 includes an outer cover layer 11, a filling layer 12 and an inner cover layer 13. The outer cover layer 11 has an arc-shaped concave surface 111. The filling layer 12 is arranged on the outer cover layer 11 and is located on the arc-shaped concave surface 111. The inner cover layer 13 is located on the arc-shaped concave surface 111, and an outer edge of the inner cover layer 13 is connected to the outer cover layer 11. The outer edge of the inner cover layer 13 partially overlaps with an outer edge of the outer cover layer 11. The filling layer 12 is located between the inner cover layer 13 and the outer cover layer 11.

It can be understood that the bra cup 10 provided by the present disclosure is applied in a bra and embrace the wearer's breasts when worn. The bra cup 10 has the outer cover layer 11, the filling layer 12 and the inner cover layer 13 which are arranged in sequence from the outside to the inside. The outer edge of the inner cover layer 13 is connected to the outer cover layer 11, such that the inner cover layer 13 and the outer cover layer 11 form complete cover for the filling layer 12, which has a function of fixing and protecting the filling layer 12 without wasting, and is conducive to maintaining the shape of the filling layer 12, thereby improving the durability of the bra cup 10 and prolonging the service life. The outer edge of the inner cover layer 13 may be directly connected to the arc-shaped concave surface 111, for example: the outer edge of the inner cover layer 13 is fitted and fixed on the arc-shaped concave surface 111. Alternatively, the outer edge of the inner cover layer 13 may be indirectly connected to the arc-shaped concave surface 111, for example: the outer edge of the inner cover layer 13 may be connected to the arc-shaped concave surface 111 through an intermediate connection layer, which may be an adhesive layer, etc. The outer edge of the inner cover layer 13 partially overlaps with the outer edge of the outer cover layer 11. In terms of size, the outer edge of the inner cover layer 13 has a size smaller than that of the outer edge of the outer cover layer 11, such that the inner cover layer 13 only has part of the outer edge overlapping with the outer edge of the outer cover layer 11 after the inner cover layer 13 is arranged and connected to the outer cover layer 11, and thus the outer cover layer 11 covers the inner cover layer 13. In this case, the thickness of the overlapping parts is larger than that of the non-overlapping parts. For the non-overlapping parts, the outer edge of the bra cup 10 only has the outer cover layer 11 having a smaller thickness, which is beneficial to reducing the thickness of the outer edge of the bra cup 10, avoiding the outer edge to be stiff, and achieving good breathability. The configuration of the inner cover layer 13 may be designed according to the configuration of the filling layer 12 with a wider width than the filling layer 12 to form a perfect coverage for the filling layer 12 without causing material waste. In conjunction with the outer cover layer 11, the filling layer 12 can be hidden to prevent a material of the filling layer 12 from being discolored and exposed after long-term use, which affects the appearance. The outer edges of the existing two layers of materials are superimposed, making the outer edge of the finished bra cups 10 too thick, which not only makes the suturing process more difficult, but also makes a wearer wearing the finished bras after suturing feel bulky, increases the bound feeling of the wearer and affects the aesthetic effect of wearing. The technical scheme of present disclosure avoids the overlap of the outer edges of the inner cover layer 13 and the outer cover layer 11, and reduces the thickness of the outer edge of the bra cup 10, which is beneficial to improving the wearer's comfort. Especially when wearing casual clothes such as T-shirt, the thin outer edge of the bra cup 10 is conducive to achieve a seamless effects and improve the breathability and the wearing experience of the wearer. Each of the outer cover layer 11 and the inner cover layer 13 may be made of a fabric, a spacer fabric or foam, or may be made of 100% polyester fabric. Alternatively, it is also possible to set the outer edge of the inner cover layer 13 to completely overlap with the outer edge of the outer cover layer 11. That is, the outer edge of the inner cover layer 13 has a size equal to that of the outer edge of the outer cover layer 11. The inner cover layer 13 and the outer cover layer 11 are bonded with a hot melt adhesive, which is beneficial to reducing the thickness of the outer edge of the bra cup 10 compared to a suturing and fixing mode, avoiding the stiffness of the outer edge, and being conducive to the breathability.

In some embodiments, the inner cover layer 13 has a single-layer structure or a multi-layer structure.

It may be understood that the inner cover layer 13 has a single-layer structure or a multi-layer structure. In an implementation, the inner cover layer 13 may be made of a single-layer material or a multi-layer material, which is specifically determined according to material characteristics. The material may be a fabric, a spacer fabric or foam, or may also be made of 100% polyester fabric. For example: the inner cover layer 13 is only a layer of polyester fabric, or the inner cover layer 13 is laminated by two layers of polyester fabric and a layer of foam, with the foam located between the two layers of polyester fabric.

Referring to FIGS. 3, 4, 5 and 6, in some embodiments, the filling layer 12 is located at any one or more of a bottom end, a top end, and a side end of the arc-shaped concave surface 111.

It can be understood that the thickness and size of the filling layer 12 are designed to fit with the wearer's breasts to fill a gap between the outer cover layer 11 and the wearer's breasts. The filling layer 12 may be specifically located at any one of a bottom end, a top end, and a side end of the arc-shaped concave surface 111 of the outer cover layer 11. In an implementation, the filling layer 12 is located at the bottom end of the arc-shaped concave surface 111. The bottom end of the arc-shaped concave surface 111 corresponds to the lower side of the breasts, and the filling layer 12 provides a supporting role on the lower side of the breasts. The filling layer 12 is located at the top end of the arc-shaped concave surface 111, and the top end of the arc-shaped concave surface 111 corresponds to the upper side of the breasts. The filling layer 12 fills the gap between the breast and the outer cover layer 11 on the upper side of the breasts to protect the upper side of the breasts. The filling layer 12 is located at the side end of the arc-shaped concave surface 111, and the side end of the arc-shaped concave surface 111 corresponds to both sides of the breasts. For example, the filling layer 12 is provided on the side of the breasts close to the bend of the arm to provide a supporting effect. The filling layer 12 may also be distributed at a plurality of locations at the bottom end, the top end, and the side end of the arc-shaped concave surface 111 of the outer cover layer 11. Specifically, the filling layer 12 is distributed at the bottom end and the top end of the arc-shaped concave surface 111, the filling layer 12 is distributed at the bottom end and the side end of the arc-shaped concave surface 111, the filling layer 12 is distributed at the top end and the side end of the arc-shaped concave surface 111, or the filling layer 12 is distributed at the bottom end, the top end and the side end of the arc-shaped concave surface 111, such that the filling layer 12 supports and protects the area around the nipples, enhancing the wearer's comfort.

In some embodiments, the filling layer 12 is one of: a polyurethane foam, an air bag, an oil bag, a spacer fabric, a silicone product, a fiberfill, a fabric, or thermoplastic.

It can be understood that any one of the polyurethane foam, the air bag, the oil bag, the spacer fabric layer, the silicone product, fibrefills the polyester fiber and other fabrics, or thermoplastic plastic may be used as the filling layer 12 between the wearer's breasts and the outer cover layer 11. Various combinations may also be used as the filling layer 12 between the wearer's breasts and the outer cover layer 11. For example: the filling layer 12 is composed of a polyurethane foam, a fiberfill and an outer fabric. The filling layer 12 may also include a bra support ring (such as a steel ring, a rubber ring, and/or a fabric ring, etc.) to support and protect the wearer's breasts from the bra cups 10. The thickness of the filling layer 12 may be 2 mm to 50 mm.

In some embodiments, the outer edge of the filling layer 12 has a size smaller than that of the outer edge of the inner cover layer 13.

It may be understood that by setting the size of the outer edge of the filling layer 12 to be smaller than that of the outer edge of the inner cover layer 13, the inner cover layer 13 completely covers the filling layer 12 and prevents the outer edge of the filling layer 12 from leaking and affecting the overall aesthetic effect of the bra cups 10. Especially when the filling layer 12 is made of the polyurethane foam, the polyurethane foam gradually turns yellow over time, and the exposure of the polyurethane foam affects the aesthetic effect of the bra cups 10, also reduce the material loss and improve the wearer's comfort. For example, the filling layer 12 is made of polyester fiber. Since the fiber has low breathability, when the fiber comes into contact with the skin, it is easy for the wearer to experience skin itching and allergies.

Continued to FIG. 4, FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, in some embodiments, each bra cup 10 further includes a middle layer 14. The middle layer 14 is located between the filling layer 12 and the outer cover layer 11. The outer edge of the filling layer 12 does not extend beyond the outer edge of the middle layer 14.

It may be understood that the middle layer 14 is located between the filling layer 12 and the outer cover layer 11, and the outer edge of the filling layer 12 does not extend beyond the outer edge of the middle layer 14, such that the middle layer 14 has a complete blocking effect on the filling layer 12. In particular, the material of the filling layer 12 changes color after long-term use (for example, the polyurethane foam turns yellow). The middle layer 14 cooperates with the outer cover layer 11 to shield the filling layer 12, which is beneficial to ensuring the overall aesthetic effect of the bra cups 10, thereby effectively prolonging the service life of the bra cups 10. The middle layer 14 may be made of a fabric.

Continued to FIGS. 4, 5 and 6, in some embodiments, the outer edge of the middle layer 14 and the outer edge of the filling layer 12 completely coincide with each other; and/or, the outer edge of the inner cover layer 13 does not extend beyond the outer edge of the middle layer 14.

It may be understood that the outer edge of the middle layer 14 completely coincides with the outer edge of the filling layer 12, that is, the outer dimension of the middle layer 14 is equal to the outer dimension of the filling layer 12. The outer edge of the inner cover layer 13 does not extend beyond the outer edge of the middle layer 14, that is, the outer dimension of the middle layer 14 may be greater than or equal to the outer dimension of the inner cover layer 13, which is beneficial to preventing the material waste of the middle layer 14 and at the same time ensuring a shielding effect of the middle layer 14 on the filling layer 12, and is beneficial to reducing the thickness of the bra cups 10, and improving the lightness and thinness of the bra cups 10, thereby improving the wearer's comfort.

In some embodiments, the outer cover layer 11 and the middle layer 14, the middle layer 14 and the filling layer 12, and the filling layer 12 and the inner cover layer 13 are all bonded with a hot melt adhesive.

It may be understood that the hot melt adhesive is preset between the outer cover layer 11 and the middle layer 14, between the middle layer 14 and the filling layer 12, and between the filling layer 12 and the inner cover layer 13. Various layers are bonded with the hot melt adhesive, which is conducive to improving the connection reliability between the layers, eliminating a suturing edge to reduce the thickness of the bra cups 10, and improving the lightness and thinness of the bra cups 10, thereby improving the comfort of the wearer. In addition, during the production process, it is also helpful to prevent the various layers of materials from shifting due to molding during the process flow and from delamination due to washing with water after the finished product is obtained.

In some embodiments, the outer cover layer 11 and the filling layer 12, and the filling layer 12 and the inner cover layer 13 are both bonded with the hot melt adhesive.

It may be understood that the hot melt adhesive is preset between the outer cover layer 11 and the filling layer 12, and between the filling layer 12 and the inner cover layer 13.

In some embodiments, the bra cup 10 includes one or more filling layers 12.

It may be understood that the present disclosure does not limit the filling layer 12 to one layer. According to the actual manufacturing needs of the bra cups 10, one or more filling layers 12 may be used between the outer cover layer 11 and the inner cover layer 13 to fill a gap between the outer cover layer 11 and the wearer's breasts and effectively support and protect the wearer's breasts.

In some embodiments, each bra cup 10 includes one or more inner cover layers 13.

It may be understood that the present disclosure does not limit the inner cover layer 13 to one layer. According to the actual production needs of the bra cups 10, one or more inner cover layers 13 may be used on one side of the filling layer 12 away from the outer cover layer 11. The filling layer 12 is located between the outer cover layer 11 and the inner cover layer 13, or the filling layer 12 is located between the outer cover layer 11 and the layer of the plurality of inner cover layers 13 that is closest to the outer cover layer 11, in order to hide the filling layer 12 and prevent the material of the filling layer 12 from being discolored and exposed after long-term use, affecting the appearance.

Referring to FIGS. 7 and 8, in some embodiments, the bra cups 10 are made by molding. The manufacturing process of the bra cups 10 includes: first, obtaining shapes of the middle layer 14, the filling layer 12 and the inner cover layer 13 by cutting; secondly, spraying a hot melt adhesive on the top and bottom surfaces of both the middle layer 14 and the filling layer 12 and then standing, and spraying the hot melt adhesive on the bottom surface of the inner cover layer 13 and standing; next, placing the middle layer 14, the filling layer 12 and the inner cover layer 13 at preset locations on the outer cover layer 11 in sequence, and molding using a flat press, such that the outer cover layer 11, the middle layer 14, the filling layer 12 and the inner cover layer 13 are bonded and well fixed to form a semi-finished product; and finally, molding the semi-finished product with mold cups to obtain the finished product. This action can reduce air between the layers to make the layers fit sufficiently, thereby improving the bonding effect, and also avoiding delamination during subsequent washing tests.

A second embodiment of the present disclosure also provides a bra, including the bra cups 10 as described above.

It may be understood that the bra usually includes two bra cups 10, a cradle part, shoulder straps and other structures. The cradle part and the shoulder straps are connected to the two bra cups 10 and are fixed on the wearer's body. According to the bra provided by the present disclosure, the above-mentioned bra cups 10 are used. Each bra cup 10 has an outer cover layer 11 and a filling layer 12. The outer cover layer 11 forms an arc-shaped concave surface 111, which is used to accommodate the wearer's breasts when worn by the user. The filling layer 12 is located in the arc-shaped concave surface 111. The thickness and size of the filling layer 12 are designed to fit with the wearer's breasts to fill a gap between the outer cover layer 11 and the wearer's breasts, thereby supporting the wearer's breasts, and improving the aesthetic effect of the body. Compared with bra cups which are laminated by a fabric and a lining, the bra cups 10 provided by the present disclosure omit a lining. Each bra cup 10 merely consists of the outer cover layer 11 and the filling layer 12, and the filling layer 12 is arranged on a side of the outer cover layer 11 located on the arc-shaped concave surface 111. Since the filling layer 12 is only distributed in parts that need to be supported, the thickness of an outer edge of the bra cup 10 is reduced to avoid the stiffness of the outer edge, thereby improving the breathability and facilitating improving the comfort of the wearer. Especially when wearing casual clothes such as T-shirt, the thin outer edge of the bra cup 10 is conducive to achieve a seamless effect and improve the wearing experience of the wearer.

To sum up, the present disclosure provides the bra cup and the bra. The bra cup has the outer cover layer and the filling layer. The filling layer is arranged on the side of the outer cover layer located on the arc-shaped concave surface. Compared with bra cups which are laminated by a fabric and a lining, the bra cups provided by the present disclosure omit a lining. Since the filling layer is only distributed in parts that need to be supported, the thickness of an outer edge of the bra cup is reduced to avoid the stiffness of the outer edge, thereby improving the breathability.

The filling layer is located between the outer cover layer and the inner cover layer. The shape of the inner cover layer may be designed according to the shape of the filling layer with a wider width than the filling layer to form a perfect coverage for the filling layer without causing material waste. The filling layer is hidden in cooperation with the outer cover layer, in order to prevent the material of the filling layer from being discolored and exposed after long-term use, affecting the appearance.

The middle layer is located between the filling layer and the outer cover layer. The outer edge of the filling layer does not extend beyond the outer edge of the middle layer, such that the middle layer has a complete shielding effect on the filling layer. Especially when the material of the filling layer changes color after long-term use (for example, when polyurethane foam turns yellow), the middle layer cooperates with the outer cover layer to shield the filling layer, which is beneficial to ensuring the overall aesthetic effect of the bra cups, thereby effectively prolonging the service life of the bra cups.

Moreover, the thin outer edge of the bra cup helps the wearer achieve a seamless feeling and improve the wearing comfort.
