Abstract
This new (guessing party card) invention concept, “Oops! Can You Finish My Sentence/Statement?” was originated “While at church I would regularly witness people finishing the minister's sentences/statements and at work I would overhear various conversations between individuals and the one person finishing the sentence/statement of the other person. As I too have experienced at separate occasions individuals attempting to finish my sentence/statement as I am speaking It suddenly dawned on me, “How connected and so involved we were in the conversations as it appeared each individual was taking the words right out of my mouth.” Believing this course of action occurs often during other conversations I was prompted to create this distinctive idea and how it would make a perfect (guessing party card) game design. I figured it would be an intriguing way for people of all ages to interact while purposely finishing other's sentences statements in good fun.

The main objective for this design is for teams/groups to work together to solve complete unfinished sentences, statements, phrases, quotes, and etc., which is primarily how this particular game played. This invention will offer novelty and uniqueness creating humor and fun to what individuals possibly do (inadvertently with completing/finishing a person's sentence/statement) without realizing it. In addition, this concept will demonstrate how people commonly respond using the same answer(s) and how much they actually think alike. In actuality, most people play this game every day (feeling the urge and/or compelled to finish the other person(s) sentence/statement) during conversation so, I figured, why not invent a entertaining device for people to do just that while having fun in the process?

Albeit, there are numerous related products presently created; however, there are significant variations in this specific product as it pertains to 1) the configuration and distinctiveness composition for which each (guessing party game) card is thoroughly worded/stated in a conversational format; 2) the rules to this invention annotates in detail what is acceptable and what is not acceptable; 3) this invention will allow for resourceful thinking as well as challenge the minds of participants to accumulate additional knowledge; 4) also, this product will introduce and advocate past and current data concerning specific life events, academic subjects, well-known movies/films, famous quotes, and etc. Furthermore, this new invention has a more modern approach to people obtaining enjoyment as well as receiving knowledge on historical facts and existing data. The targeted audience would be for ages twelve (12) and older.

Ultimately, other related products presently in stores lack new material; thus, is considered obsolete in the scope of retaining and maintaining the “interest” of consumers those devices and/or products once seized; nonetheless, those dated (guessing party game) products also lack much of the elements and the improvement aspects that this new (guessing party game) invention now possesses. A patent search was conducted to confirm there were no similar configurations/inventions that presently exists AND; therefore, received notification no other concepts/inventions matched this specific query.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In summary of this particular (guessing party card) invention it is a game participant's will not only find interesting, but enjoyable. As this invention requires participant's to figure out what/how another individual would complete or conclude the sentence/statement(s) this is where the challenge mounts. This development is claimed to be an original in its own functionality, as it possesses many advantages over other dated games/products in its category. Since there are over four hundred (400) idiom/expression cards included in two separate decks this will allow participants to have a second new beginning when one deck become uninteresting/obsolete over time (it's like two in one). Thereby, challenging participants to finish the person(s) reading the statement(s) and/or comment(s) correctly. The relevance of this invention is to offer individuals of all age's family interaction/recreation time, gratification, and most importantly edification. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

This paragraph will explain in detail the process of how this guessing party card game is played. Ages twelve (12) and older can participate. There must be four (4) participants per team or more to play. The two (2) dices/cubes are rolled to determine which group/team goes first. The pair of dices are regular standard cubes with six (6) sides, the color of both cubes are fuchsia with dark gray color dots, ranging from 1 dot, 2 dots, 3 dots, 4 dots, 5 dots, and 6 dots on different sides of each cube. The pair of dices is rolled simultaneously; this is how the chronological order of team(s) is arranged. The team/group that rolls closest to twelve (12) will select the player from their team to draw or pull from the “Sentence/Statement” deck until round ends. The next team/group that rolled closest to twelve (12) will draw next from the Sentence/Statement deck for the next round and so on.

The texture of all cards will be made from heavy-duty cardstock paper (similar to standard playing cards). This gives the guessing party cards durability, but flexible enough to be shuffled/merged without bending. Both the Standard Sentence/Statement cards and the Bonus Sentence/Statement cards are approximately 2½″×3½″ in size, with a rectangular shape, a white background on the face side of cards and is printed in black ink in twelve (12) font size. Both decks contain two distinctive set of cards: the Standard Sentence/Statement Cards and the Bonus Sentence/Statement Cards:

The first deck consists of 450 sentence/statement cards which includes 300 Standard Sentence/Statement cards and is worth one (1) point each when answered correctly and also comprises of 150 Bonus Sentence/Statement cards and is worth three (3) points each when answered correctly. The first deck of cards is utilized until guessing party cards result in repetitiveness. In addition, in the first deck the words “Sentence/Statement?” is printed diagonal from top left to bottom right of card in bold gray letters with a faded fuchsia background on the outer-side of cards. The fonts used are from “WordArt” text in Microsoft Word document using eighteen (18) as the font size. Also, the Standard Sentence/Statement cards does not have a heading printed across the top of the face-side of card, but have two choices listed at the bottom of the face card following the sentence/statement. Either of the two choices/answers can be applied, but teammates need to complete/finish the sentence or statement according to what the reader/drawer has selected as his/her answer. One player from each opposing team will need to sit beside and/or near the person drawing/pulling from the “Sentence/Statement” deck. This is to ensure the team up to play has provided the correct answer(s) given by the drawer listed on the Sentence/Statement card.

The second deck consists of 450 sentence/statement cards which includes 300 Standard Sentence/Statement cards and is worth one (1) point each when answered correctly and also comprises of 150 Bonus Sentence/Statement cards and is worth three (3) points each when answered correctly. This second deck is utilized to offer participants new material to challenge the mind(s) and a new beginning. This deck also has the words “Sentence/Statement?” printed diagonal from top of left to bottom right of card in bold fuchsia letters with a faded gray background on the outer-side of the cards. The fonts used are from “WordArt” text in Microsoft Word document. In addition to furnish the cards with distinct colors using font size eighteen (18) this will assist consumers in distinguishing the decks from one another. This invention design/style is purposely patterned using this technique to display that unique affect setting it apart from other party card games. The two (2) decks are separated by design as indication decks are not to be combined. The Bonus Sentence/Statement cards have a heading printed across the top of the face side of card with the word “BONUS” all letters capitalized, the font size is fourteen (14), and is shaded center of the rectangular box in different colors (i.e., green, blue, purple, yellow, red, and etc.,) per card. Subsequently, the text follows with one choice/answer listed at the bottom of the face card. Both the Standard and Bonus Sentence/Statement cards has incomplete/unfinished sentences and/or statements, quotes, or phrases for participants to read and teammates to guess or figure out how the reader has completed the sentence/statement.

If a team is unable to guess/supply the correct answer to the “Sentence/Statement” card it may be in the team's best interest to pass and the drawer of the team select another card from the deck. But if the same team, in the same round, runs into a second setback that team is now blocked and cannot continue to pull. The team up to play should continue guessing either until the timer has stopped or the sentence/statement is answered. Each team can only pass once per round.

The timer is made of plastic and is a stop watch without band it is used to time/monitor rotation of each round ensuring each participant receives the same amount of time. Whenever, a correct answer is earned that team is to mark the point down on the score pad to track scores.

The score pad is a small notebook with plain no line white paper generally used to write/track scores. Once all the players from each team has had an opportunity to draw from the “Sentence/Statement” deck the points on the score pad is then totaled. The team with the most points wins the game.
