Claims
- 1. In the method of treatment of all kinds of ophthalmological conditions with a collagen substance, the improvement comprising using a collagen preparation isolated from animal eyes.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the collagen is isolated from the fibrous tunic of an animal eye.
- 3. The method of claim 1, wherein the collagen is isolated from the sclera of animal eyes.
- 4. The method of claim 1, wherein the collagen is isolated from pig eyes.
- 5. The method of claim 4, wherein the collagen is isolated from the sclera of pig eyes.
- 6. The method of claim 1, wherein the collagen which contacts the eye is provided as a shaped article conforming to the curvature of the front section of the eye.
- 7. The method of claim 1, wherein the collagen which contacts the eye is provided in the form of a fluid.
- 8. The method of claim 6, wherein an ophthalmically active drug is incorporated into said shaped article.
- 9. The method of claim 7, wherein an ophthalmically active drug is incorporated into said fluid.
