- 2. The device according to claim 1 further comprising a latch for releasably holding said disc support in said second position.
- 3. The device according to claim 2 further comprising a base having an axial opening therein with a platform, surrounding the opening, for supporting the non-platform, label and said disc support is disposed on a plunger projecting from said platform through the base opening, said plunger being moveable between the first position and the second position.
- 4. The device according to claim 3 wherein said latch is disposed in said base for releasably engaging said plunger.
- 5. The device according to claim 4 wherein said latch comprises a latch member, coaxially disposed with said plunger and rotatably mounted for enabling engagement and disengagement with said plunger.
- 6. The device according to claim 5 wherein said latch member is accessible for manual rotation thereof through a bottom of said base.
- 7. The device according to claim 6 wherein said latch member includes at least one radially extending flange for engaging said plunger.
- 8. The device according to claim 7 wherein said arm is attached to said plunger and extends through said base.
- 9. The device according to claim 8 wherein said disc support includes a surface for rotatably supporting the disc.
- 10. The device according to claim 9 wherein the arm includes a grip for engaging a disc side and rotating the disc as necessary to align the disc with the label on said platform as the plunger is moved from the first to the second position.
- 11. The device according to claim 10 wherein the arm further includes a biasing element for spreading the arm and grip from the disc as the plunger is moved from the second position to the first position.
- 12. The device according to claim 11 further comprising a slot through said base for receiving the arm and causing convergence of the arm toward the disc, supported above the label on the platform, as the plunger is moved from the first to the second position.
- 13. The device according to claim 12 wherein the arm is pivotally attached to said plunger at a point below said platform.
- 14. The device according to claim 13 further comprising a resilient member for urging said plunger from the second to the first position.
- 15. The device according to claim 14 wherein the biasing element comprises a bendable member molded with the arm.
- 16. The device according to claim 14 wherein said slot has a width for causing compression of the biasing element toward the disc as the plunger is moved from the first position to the second position.
- 17. A device for applying a CD business card adhesive label to a CD business card, said device comprising:a card support movable between a first position supporting the card in a spaced apart relationship with the label and a second position enabling contact between the label and the card, and a pair of arms, moveable with said card support, for contacting the card and aligning the card with the label as the card is moved from the first position to the second position; said arms being disposed in a spaced apart relationship with the card in the first position and continuously approaching the card until contact herewith as the card is moved from the first position to the second position.
- 18. The device according to claim 17 further comprising a latch for releasably holding said card support in said second position.
- 19. The device according to claim 18 further comprising a base having an axial opening therein with a platform, surrounding the opening, for supporting the non-circular label and said card support is disposed on a plunger projecting from said platform through the base opening, said plunger being moveable between the first position and the second position.
- 20. The device according to claim 19 wherein said latch is disposed in said base for releasably engaging said plunger.
- 21. The device according to claim 20 wherein said latch comprises a latch member, coaxially disposed with said plunger and rotatably mounted for enabling engagement and disengagement with said plunger.
- 22. The device according to claim 21 wherein said latch member is accessible for manual rotation thereof through a bottom of said base.
- 23. The device according to claim 24 wherein said latch member includes at least one radially extending flange for engaging said plunger.
- 24. The device according to claim 23 wherein the arms are attached to said plunger and extends through said base.
- 25. The device according to claim 24 wherein said card support include a surface for rotatably supporting the card.
- 26. The device according to claim 25 wherein the arms each include a grip for engaging a card side and rotating the card as necessary to align the card with the label on said platform as the plunger is moved from the first to the second position.
- 27. The device according to claim 26 wherein the arms further include biasing elements for spreading the arms and grips from one another as the plunger is moved from the second position to the first position.
- 28. The device according to claim 27 further comprising slots through said base for receiving the first and second arms and causing convergence of the arms toward the card supported above the label on the platform as the plunger is moved from the first to the second position.
- 29. The device according to claim 28 wherein each arm is pivotally attached to said plunger at a point below said platform.
- 30. The device according to claim 29 wherein the arms are disposed at 180° from one another around base opening.
- 31. The device according to claim 30 wherein the grips each include a straight surface for engaging first and second straight edges of the card respectively.
- 32. The device according to claim 31 further comprising a resilient member for urging said plunger from the second to the first position.
- 33. The device according to claim 32 wherein the biasing elements comprise bendable members molded with each of the arms.
