Claims
- 1. An optical disk having main information and a sector address recorded in each of respective sectors thereon, wherein:
- said main information includes at least compressed image data having a variable transfer rate;
- said optical disk has time codes stored therein, as well as a table stored at a selected location thereon, which table contains information correlating said sector addresses and said time codes, a relationship between said sector addresses and said time codes being inconstant; and
- image data associated with a desired time code can be selectively reproduced by means of said information in said table correlating said sector addresses and said time codes.
- 2. An arrangement for reproducing image data stored in sectors in an optical disk, each of said sectors having main information and a sector address recorded therein, wherein:
- said main information includes at least compressed image data having a variable transfer rate;
- said optical disk has time codes stored therein, as well as a table stored at a selected location therein, which table contains information correlating said sector addresses and said time codes, a relationship between said sector addresses and said time codes being inconstant; and
- image data associated with a desired time code can be selectively reproduced by means of said information in said table correlating said sector addresses and said time codes.
- 3. An optical disk having main information and a sector address recorded in each of respective sectors thereon, wherein:
- said main information includes at least compressed image data having a variable transfer rate;
- said optical disk has time information stored therein, as well as a table stored at a selected location therein, which table contains information correlating said sector addresses and said time information, a relationship between said sector address and said time information being inconstant; and
- image data associated with desired time information can be selectively reproduced by means of said information in said table correlating said sector addresses and said time information.
- 4. An arrangement for reproducing image data stored in sectors in an optical disk, each of said sectors having main information and a sector address recorded therein, wherein:
- said main information includes at least compressed image data having a variable transfer rate;
- said optical disk has time information stored therein, as well as a table which is stored at a selected location therein, which table contains information correlating said sector addresses and said time information, a relationship between said sector addresses and said time information being inconstant; and
- image data associated with a desired time code can be selectively reproduced by means of said information in said table correlating said sector addresses and said time information.
- 5. An optical disk having recorded therein main information including compressed image data having a variable transfer rate, said optical disk comprising:
- a plurality of time codes encoded thereon at regular intervals;
- a plurality of sectors arranged at irregular intervals relative to said time codes, each of said sectors including a portion of said main information and a sector address, sector addresses of said respective sectors having an inconstant relationship with said time codes; and
- a correlation table stored at a selected location on said optical disk, which correlation table correlates said sector addresses with locations on said optical disk designated by said time codes;
- whereby main information associated with a desired time code can be reproduced selectively by means of information in said correlation table correlating said sector addresses.
- 6. An optical disk reproduction apparatus for reproducing image data from an optical disk having recorded therein:
- main information including compressed image data having a variable transfer rate;
- a plurality of time codes encoded on said optical disk at regular intervals;
- a plurality of sectors arranged on said optical disk at irregular intervals relative to said time codes, each of said sectors including a portion of said main information and a sector address, sector addresses of said respective sectors having an inconstant relationship with said time codes; and
- a correlation table stored at a selected location on said optical disk, which correlation table correlates said sector addresses with locations on said optical disk designated by said time codes, whereby main information associated with a desired time code can be reproduced selectively by means of information in said correlation table correlating said sector addresses;
- wherein said image data are selectively reproduced on the basis of the recorded time codes.
