Claims
- 1. A recording method for a recordable optical disk having a main information area in which data information is recorded in a recording layer of a groove having a wobble in such a manner that the data information is read using a light, a control data area located proximate an inner periphery side in comparison with said main information area, and a sub information area, in which other information has been previously recorded in an address area in said control data area corresponding to an area including deciphering key information used only for reproducing, while physical format information is stored in said sub information area with an information structure different from that of said control data area, said method comprising:
detecting whether a loaded optical disk is a writable optical disk; and writing the physical format information to said sub information area when said loaded optical disk is detected to be a writable optical disk.
- 2. The recording method of claim 1, said address area in said control data area corresponds to an area including deciphering key information in a recording medium used only for reproducing.
- 3. The recording method of claim 1, wherein detecting comprises detecting whether the loaded optical disk is a writable optical disk in accordance with an existence of a wobble.
