Claims
- 1. An optical storage medium having some reproduction control information for recorded data are recorded in the reverse order in an area.
- 2. An optical storage medium according to claim 1, wherein a program judging whether the reproduction control information is in the reverse order or not is recorded in other areas.
- 3. An optical storage medium according to claim 2, wherein the program executes the steps of:
reading out recorded data units having a predetermined size from the area on the optical storage medium loaded; and (b) checking whether or not reproduction control information corresponding to the data unit within the read-out data is in the reverse order.
- 4. An optical storage medium according to claim 1, wherein the reproduction control information is reproduction time information which is provided for each recorded data unit having a predetermined size.
- 5. An optical storage medium according to claim 1, wherein the reproduction control information is frame number which is provided for each recorded data unit having a predetermined size.
- 6. A method of fabricating an optical storage medium, comprising the steps of:
recording data in the optical storage medium in units of data of a predetermined size sequentially; reversing reproduction control information associated with two arbitrarily chosen data units having the predetermined size; and recording the reversed reproduction control information in the optical storage medium, together with the corresponding data units.
- 7. An apparatus for fabricating an optical storage medium, comprising:
means for dividing data being inputted for recording in units of data of a predetermined size; means for generating reproduction control information for each data unit having the predetermined size; means for selectively reversing the order of the reproduction control information; means for combining the data unit and the its reversed reproduction control information; and means for recording the combined data into the optical storage medium.
- 8. A method of authenticating an optical storage medium loaded, comprising the steps of:
reading out data from a predetermined area in the optical storage medium; checking whether or not a reproduction control information within the read-out data is in the reversed order; and determining whether the optical storage medium is an original or not based upon the checking result.
