Abstract
An optical film, which comprises: a support; and a layer containing an electrically-conductive particulate material, in which an interior of the electrically-conductive particulate material is porous or hollow, wherein the optical film comprises a fluorine-containing silane compound.

Claims
  • 1. An optical film, which comprises: a support; anda layer containing an electrically-conductive particulate material, in which an interior of the electrically-conductive particulate material is porous or hollow,wherein the optical film comprises a fluorine-containing silane compound.
  • 2. The optical film according to claim 1, which further comprises: a stainproof layer containing a fluorine-containing silane compound provided on or above the layer containing the electrically-conductive particulate material.
  • 3. The optical film according to claim 1, wherein the layer containing the electrically-conductive particulate material comprises at least one cured material of a hydrolyzate of an organosilane and a condensate of the organosilane.
  • 4. The optical film according to claim 1, wherein the layer containing the electrically-conductive particulate material comprises a fluorine-containing silane compound and is an outermost surface.
  • 5. The optical film according to claim 1, wherein the fluorine-containing silane compound is a compound represented by formula [1]: (Rf-L1)n-Si(R11)4−n  Formula [1]wherein Rf represents a C1-C20 straight-chain, branched or cyclic fluorine-containing alkyl group or a C6-C14 fluorine-containing aromatic group;L1 represents a divalent connecting group having 10 or less carbon atoms;R11 represents an alkyl group, a hydroxyl group or a hydrolyzable group; andn represents an integer of from 1 to 3.
  • 6. The optical film according to claim 5, wherein the fluorine-containing silane compound represented by formula [1] is represented by formula [2]: CnF2n+1—(CH2)m—Si(R)3  Formula [2]wherein n represents an integer of 10 or more;m represents an integer of from 1 to 5; andR represents a C1-C5 alkoxy group or a halogen atom.
  • 7. The optical film according to claim 1, wherein the fluorine-containing silane compound contains a perfluoropolyether group.
  • 8. The optical film according to claim 7, wherein the fluorine-containing silane compound is a compound represented by formula [3]:
  • 9. The optical film according to claim 8, wherein the fluorine-containing silane compound represented by formula [3] is a compound represented by formula [4]:
  • 10. The optical film according to claim 1, wherein the fluorine-containing silane compound is a compound represented by formula [5]: Rf5[-(L5)n-X—R51—Si(OR52)3]m  Formula [5]wherein Rf5 represents a perfluoropolyether group;R51 represents an alkylene group;R52 represents an alkyl group;L5 represents —CO—;X represents a group selected from the group consisting of —O—, —NR53—, —S—, —SO2—, —SO2NR53— and —NR53CO—;R53 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 3 or less carbon atoms;n represents a natural number of 0 or 1; andm represents a natural number of 2 or less.
  • 11. The optical film according to claim 1, wherein the fluorine-containing silane compound is contained in a layer of the optical film, andthe layer containing the fluorine-containing silane compound further contains a compound represented by formula [7]: R71—Si(OR72)3  Formula [7]wherein R71 represents a long-chain hydrocarbon group having 10 or more carbon atoms; andR72 represents an alkyl group.
  • 12. The optical film according to claim 1, wherein a ratio of peak area (Si2p/Fls) of silicon atom (Si2p) to fluorine atom (Fls) on a surface of the optical film as measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy is from not smaller than 0.0 to not greater than 0.4.
  • 13. The optical film according to claim 1, which has a dynamic friction coefficient of from not smaller than 0.02 to not greater than 0.30.
  • 14. The optical film according to claim 1, which has a contact angle of 95° or more with respect to water.
  • 15. The optical film according to claim 1, which has a surface resistivity of 12 or less as expressed in terms of log (SR).
  • 16. The optical film according to claim 1, wherein the layer containing the electrically-conductive particulate material is a low refractive index layer and has a thickness of from not smaller than 130 nm to not greater than 500 nm.
  • 17. A coating composition, which comprises the following components (A), (B) and (C): (A) an electrically-conductive particulate material, in which an interior of the electrically-conductive particulate material is porous or hollow;(B) at least one of an organosilane, a hydrolyzate of the organosilane and a condensate of the organosilane; and(C) at least one of a fluorine-containing silane compound, a hydrolyzate of the fluorine-containing silane compound and a condensate of the fluorine-containing silane compound.
  • 18. The coating composition according to claim 17, wherein the fluorine-containing silane compound of the component (C) is represented by one of formulae [1] to [5]: (Rf-L1)n-Si(R11)4−n  Formula [1]wherein Rf represents a C1-C20 straight-chain, branched or cyclic fluorine-containing alkyl group or a C6-C14 fluorine-containing aromatic group;L1 represents a divalent connecting group having 10 or less carbon atoms;R11 represents an alkyl group, a hydroxyl group or a hydrolyzable group; andn represents an integer of from 1 to 3, CnF2n+1—(CH2)m—Si(R)3  Formula [2]wherein n represents an integer of 10 or more;m represents an integer of from 1 to 5; andR represents a C1-C5 alkoxy group or a halogen atom,
  • 19. A polarizing plate, which comprises an optical film according to claim 1.
  • 20. An image display device, which comprises an optical film according to claim 1.
