Claims
- 1. An optical member inspection apparatus, comprising:a rotatable spool with runners extending therefrom, said runners engaging optical members, for consecutively placing each of a plurality of said optical members to be inspected, firstly, at a first position and subsequently at a second position, wherein said each optical member is picked-up at said first position and a predetermined mark is stamped on said optical member at said second position; means for picking-up an image of said each optical member at said first position to output said image; means for judging whether or not said each optical member is defective according to said image of said optical member output from said image pick-up means; and a stamper for stamping said predetermined mark on said each optical member at said second position, depending on a judgement of said judging means regarding said optical member, said predetermined mark indicating whether or not said optical member is defective, wherein said placing means conveys one optical member to be inspected, which has not yet been inspected, to said first position while conveying another optical member to be inspected, which has been already inspected at said first position, to said second position such that all the optical members to be inspected are transferred to the second position regardless of a result of said inspection.
- 2. The optical member inspection apparatus in accordance with claim 1, wherein said stamper stamps said mark only when said optical member is judged to be defective by said judging means.
- 3. The optical member inspection apparatus in accordance with claim 1, wherein said placing means rotates said plurality of optical members as a whole, so as to consecutively place said each optical member at said first position and subsequently at said second position.
- 4. A method of inspection and marking, comprising:an inspection process to inspect whether or not an optical member to be inspected is defective wherein said optical member is mounted on a runner which is connected to a rotatable spool; and a marking process to stamp a mark on said optical member at a marking position different, from said inspection position, according to a result of inspection of said inspection process, said mark indicating whether or not said optical member is defective, wherein an optical member is to be inspected, which has not yet been inspected, is conveyed to said inspection position by rotating said spool while another optical member to be inspected, which has been already inspected at said inspection position, is being conveyed to said marking position, and wherein all optical members are conveyed to said marking position regardless of the result of said inspection at said inspecting position.
