Claims
- 1. An optical member inspection apparatus, comprising:means for picking-up an image of an optical member to be inspected to output said image of said optical member; means for binarizing said output image of said optical member to detect a suspected mold defect; a first counter counting a number of appearances of said suspected mold defect at a common position on a plurality of optical members molded by a common mold; means for deciding that said suspected mold defect appearing at said common position is a real mold defect, when said number of appearances reaches a first predetermined number; and a second counter counting a number of non-appearances of said suspected mold defect at said common position during a period said suspected mold defect fails to appear, before said number of appearances has reached said first predetermined number; a first reset means for resetting said first counter when said number of non-appearances in said second counter reaches a second predetermined number; and a second reset means for resetting said second counter when said suspected mold defect reappears at said common position before said number of non-appearances of said second counter has reached said second predetermined number.
- 2. The optical member inspection apparatus in accordance with claim 1, further comprising means for alarming when said deciding means decides that said suspected mold defect is said real mold defect.
- 3. The optical member inspection apparatus in accordance with claim 1, wherein said image pick-up means is provided at a position to receive light emitted from said light source and transmitted through a diffusing means and said optical member, said diffusing means comprising a central portion and a peripheral portion, a diffusion transmittance of said peripheral portion being higher than that of said central portion.
- 4. The optical member inspection apparatus in accordance with claim 3, wherein said diffusing means comprises a plane plate member extending substantially perpendicular to an optical axis of said image pick-up means, said plane plate member including said central portion and said peripheral portion.
- 5. The optical member inspection apparatus in accordance with claim 3, wherein said diffusing means comprises a first diffusing plate and a second diffusing plate which together determine said central portion and said peripheral portion.
- 6. The optical member inspection apparatus in accordance with claim 3, wherein shapes of said central portion and said peripheral portion are each determined according to a shape of said optical member to be inspected.
- 7. The optical member inspection apparatus in accordance with claim 1, comprising a plurality of pairs of counters, wherein each said pair of counters comprises said first counter and said second counter.
