Claims
- 1. A method for recording or reproducing data on or from an optical recording medium, comprising the steps of:
reading out a reference recording condition recorded on a specific area of the optical recording medium; recording test data while varying a recording condition with respect to the reference recording condition; determining an optimum recording power, based on reproduction characteristics of the test data; and recording a recoding condition data including the optimum recording power, recording speed and write strategy type to be used or used to record data, on a specific area of the optical recording medium.
- 2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

determining whether to use the recorded recording condition data in next recording mode to record new data.
- 4. The method of claim 1, wherein the specific area is lead-in area or an area inner than the lead-in area of the optical recording medium.
- 5. The method of claim 4, wherein the area inner than the lead-in area is count area to identify a number of performed test recording.
- 6. The method of claim 1, wherein the recording step records the recording condition data repeatedly on the specific area.
- 7. The method of claim 1, wherein the recording step further records a synch code.
- 8. The method of claim 1, wherein the recording step further records a classification data to identify the recording condition data.
- 9. A recording medium, comprising:
a reference recording condition data recorded on an area of the recording medium; and an actual recoding condition data including an optimum recording power for a specific recording speed and a write strategy type for the specific recording speed to be used or used to record data on a user data area of the recording medium.
- 10. The recording medium of claim 9, wherein the actual recording condition data recorded on a specific area of the recording medium.
- 11. The recording medium of claim 10, wherein the specific area is lead-in area or an area inner than the lead-in area of the recording medium.
- 12. The recording medium of claim 11, wherein the recording medium includes a plurality of lead-in area, wherein a plurality of actual recording condition data are recorded in each lead-in area, each actual recording condition data is different from each other.
- 13. The recording medium of claim 9, wherein the actual recording condition data recorded repeatedly on a specific area of the recording medium.
- 14. The recording medium of claim 9, wherein the actual recording condition data recorded repeatedly at a predetermined interval.
- 15. The recording medium of claim 13, wherein the area inner than the lead-in area is a count area to identify a number of performed test recording.
- 16. The recording medium of claim 9, wherein the actual recording condition data further includes a recorder ID of recording device where a recording is performed.
- 17. The recording medium of claim 9, wherein the actual recording condition data further includes a synch code.
- 18. The recording medium of claim 9, wherein the actual recording condition data further includes a classification data to identify the recording condition data.
- 19. The recording medium of claim 9, wherein a plurality of actual recording condition data recorded on the recording medium, each actual recording condition data classified by at least different recording speed.
- 20. The recording medium of claim 19, wherein a plurality of actual recording condition data recorded on the recording medium, each actual recording condition data further classified by different recorder ID.
- 21. A recording medium, comprising:

- 23. The recording medium of claim 22, wherein each actual recording condition data further includes a recorder ID of recording device where a recording is performed.
- 24. The recording medium of claim 21, wherein each actual recording condition data further includes a synch code.
- 25. The recording medium of claim 21, wherein each actual recording condition data further includes a classification data to identify the recording condition data.
- 26. A method for recording or reproducing data on or from an optical recording medium, comprising the steps of:
reading out a reference recording condition data pre-recorded on an area of the optical recording medium; determining an optimum recording power for a specific recording speed, based on the reference condition data; and recording an actual recoding condition data including the optimum recording power for the specific recording speed and a write strategy type for the specific recording speed to be used or used to record data, on a specific area of the optical recording medium.
- 27. The method of claim 26, further comprising:
recording data using the determined optimum recording power.
- 28. The method of claim 26, further comprising:
recording data at the actual recording speed and using the write strategy type for the specific recording speed.
- 29. The method of claim 26, further comprising:
determining whether to use the recorded actual recording condition data in next recording mode to record new data.
- 30. The method of claim 26, wherein the recording step records the recording condition data repeatedly on the specific area.
- 31. The method of claim 26, wherein the recording step further records a synch code.
- 32. The method of claim 26, wherein the recording step further records a classification data to identify the actual recording condition data.
- 33. The method of claim 26, wherein the recording step records each different actual recording condition data in a plurality of specific area.
- 34. The method of claim 33, wherein the optical recording medium includes a plurality of session, each session comprises lead-in area, user data area, and lead-out area, wherein the specific area is lead-in area of each session.
- 35. The method of claim 26, wherein the recording step records at least two actual recording condition data to be classified by at least one of different recording speed and different recorder ID.
- 36. A method for recording or reproducing data on or from an optical recording medium, comprising the steps of:
reading out a reference recording condition data pre-recorded on an area of the optical recording medium; reading out a reference recording condition data pre-recorded on an area of the optical recording medium; determining an optimum recording power for a specific recording speed, based on the reference condition data; and recording an actual recoding condition data including the optimum recording power for the specific recording speed and other recording parameters for the specific recording speed to be used or used to record data, on a specific area of the optical recording medium, wherein the actual recording condition data to be classified by at least different recording speed.
- 37. The method of claim 36, wherein the actual recording condition data to be further classified by different recorder ID.
- 38. The method of claim 36, further comprising:
recording data using the determined optimum recording power.
- 39. The method of claim 36, further comprising:
recording data at the actual recording speed and using other recording parameters for the specific recording speed.
- 40. The method of claim 36, further comprising:
determining whether to use the recorded actual recording condition data in next recording mode to record new data.
- 41. A method for recording or reproducing data on or from an optical recording medium, comprising the steps of:
reading out a reference recording condition data pre-recorded on an area of the optical recording medium; determining an optimum recording power for a specific recording speed, based on the reference condition data; and recording an actual recoding condition data including the optimum recording power for the specific recording speed and other recording parameters for the specific recording speed to be used or used to record data, on a specific area of the optical recording medium, wherein the actual recording condition data to be classified by at least one of different recording speed and different recorder ID.
