Claims
- 1. A method for chromatographically separating optical isomers from a mixture thereof, which comprises the step of contacting said mixture, under conditions effective for chromatographic separation, with tribenzoyl-.beta.-1,4-chitosan having an esterification ration of 85 percent or more as the chromatographic separation agent.
- 2. A method as claimed in claim 1, in which the contacting step comprises conducting said mixture through a chromatographic column or layer comprising said tribenzoyl-.beta.-1,4-chitosan to effect separation and resolution of the components of said mixture.
