Claims
- 1. An organic host compound represented by the following formula (I): wherein, R1 to R12 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, an aryloxy group having from 6 to 18 carbon atoms, an aryl group having from 6 to 20 carbon atoms, an amino group represented by —NH2, an alkylamino group represented by —NHR or —NR2 (where R indicates an alkyl group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms), an arylamino group represented by —NHAr or —NAr2 (where Ar indicates an aryl group having from 6 to 20 carbon atoms), a cyano group, a nitro group, a hydroxyl group, a halogen atom, or a group of: the substituents in at least one combination of R1 and R2, R3 and R4, R5 and R6, R7 and R8, R9 and R10, and R11 and R12 are bonded to each other to form a saturated or unsaturated, 5-membered or 6-membered ring; and the substituents may be bonded via a hetero atom (N, O, S) to form the ring.
