Claims
- 1. A polymeric organosilicon compound of the formula
- M.sub.a R.sub.b Si{[(OSiR.sub.2).sub.n D].sub.m (OSiR.sub.2).sub.n OSiR.sub.3-d M.sub.d }.sub.4-a-b
- wherein R is selected from the group consisting of monovalent hydrocarbon radicals and substituted monovalent hydrocarbon radicals having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms, D is a radical of the formula
- --X.sub.a A--X.sub.a (A--X.sub.a).sub.c --,
- where X is selected from the group consisting of ##STR5## --O--, --S--, --SO.sub.2 --, --R"--, ##STR6## --OR"--, -SR"--, --SO.sub.2 R", where R' is hydrogen or R, R" is a bivalent aliphatic hydrocarbon radical, A is selected from the group consisting of a bivalent aromatic hydrocarbon radical and a substituted bivalent aromatic hydrocarbon radical, M is a radical of the formula
- --X.sub.a --A--X.sub.a (A--X.sub.a).sub.c H,
- a is 0 or 1, b is 0, 1 or 2, c is 0 or a number of from 1 to 5, d is 0 or 1, m is 0 or a number of from 1 to 20, n is a number of from 1 to 1,000 with the proviso that at least one X.sub.a --A--X.sub.a --A group is present per molecule, in which a is 1.
- 2. The compound of claim 1, wherein the radical M is derived from the group consisting of monovalent phenols, polyvalent phenols, bis-phenols and mixtures thereof.
