This application claims the benefit of Korean Patent Application No. 10-2019-0028854, filed on Mar. 13, 2019, in the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein in its entirety by reference.
One or more embodiments relate to an organometallic compound, an organic light-emitting device including the organometallic compound, and an apparatus including the organic light-emitting device.
Organic light-emitting devices are self-emission devices that produce full-color images, and also have wide viewing angles, high contrast ratios, short response times, as well as excellent characteristics in terms of brightness, driving voltage, and response speed.
In an example, an organic light-emitting device includes a first electrode disposed on a substrate, and a hole transport region, an emission layer, an electron transport region, and a second electrode, which are sequentially disposed on the first electrode. Holes provided from the first electrode may move toward the emission layer through the hole transport region, and electrons provided from the second electrode may move toward the emission layer through the electron transport region. Carriers, such as holes and electrons, recombine in the emission layer to produce excitons. These excitons transit from an excited state to a ground state, thereby generating light.
One or more embodiments include an organometallic compound, an organic light-emitting device including the organometallic compound, and an apparatus including the organic light-emitting device.
Additional aspects will be set forth in part in the description which follows and, in part, will be apparent from the description, or may be learned by practice of the presented embodiments.
