DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
With reference to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, it is noted that the orthotic foot wear (10) in accordance with the present invention includes a sole (20), an arch insert (30), a pad (40) and a top (50) having a strap (60) connected to opposite sides of the top (50). Each of the sole (20), the pad (40) and the top (50) has a dimension corresponding to each other and is securely mounted on top of one another. The arch insert (30) is securely sandwiched between the sole (20) and the pad (40) and has an arcuate recessed area (31) defined in a mediate side face thereof. The arch insert (30) has a height sloping downward from the area where he arcuate recessed area (31) is defined so as to adapt to the shape of a foot arch of a human.
Furthermore, between a top face (22) of the sole (20) and the pad (40), a heel pad (70) is provided to correspond to a wearer's heel. Because the heel supports the body weight, with the provision of the heel pad (70) and the cooperation with the arch insert (30), a significant shock absorbing effect is provided to the wearer. The material for making the heel pad (70) my be selected from silicone, plastic rubber, thermal plastic rubber and PU.
After the assembly of the orthotic foot wear of the present invention is finished, as shown in FIG. 3, it is to be noted that a bossed area is formed on top of the pad (40), which perfectly fits the shape of the wearer's foot arch.
With reference to FIG. 4, it is noted that the arch insert (30), though sandwiched between the sole (20) and the pad (40), provides comfort to persons having impaired limb functions such as flat foot or feet of different lengths.
It is to be understood, however, that even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
