The present invention relates to an improved outer sole for casual footwear having at least three layers comprised of a first layer adjacent to the inner sole and primarily formed of rubber, a second layer adjacent to the first layer formed of fabric, and a third layer adjacent to the second layer formed of non-slip material.
Common casual footwear having outer soles comprised of a single solid layer of rubber add superior strength and rigidity to the footwear, as well as provide increased support to the wearer' feet. However, the rigidity and stiffness of such footwear soles, fails to add little, if any, cushion or comfort to the wearer' feet. Accordingly, there is a need for a casual footwear sole that provides superior strength and rigidity to the footwear, provides increased support for the wearers' feet, as well as provides cushion and comfort to the wearers' feet.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a footwear sole that increases the strength, rigidity and support of footwear by having at least three layers.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide a footwear sole that increases the cushion and comfort of footwear by having layers of cushioned padding.
The present invention provides a footwear sole comprising a first layer adjacent to the inner sole formed of rubber; a second layer adjacent to the first layer formed of fabric, and a third layer adjacent to the second layer for engaging a walking surface formed of a non-slip material. The first layer is formed of recycled rubber. The second fabric layer may be formed of nylon, polyester, acrylic, polyolefin, spandex, or any other synthetic material. The non-slip material of the third layer may be in the form of beads of dots. This non-slip material may be formed of dycem, plastics, rubber or other no-slip materials.
In a second embodiment, the present invention provides a footwear sole comprising a first layer adjacent to the inner sole formed of recycled rubber, a second layer adjacent to the first layer, also formed of recycled rubber, a third layer adjacent to the second layer formed of a fabric, and a fourth layer adjacent to the third layer for engaging a walking surface formed of a non-slip material. The third fabric layer may be formed of nylon, polyester, spandex, or any other synthetic material. The non-slip material of the fourth layer may be in the form of beads or dots. This non-slip material may be formed of dycem, plastics, rubber or other non-slip material. There may be additional rubber layers.
A latitude of modification, change, and substitution is intended in the foregoing disclosure, and in some instances, some features of the invention will be employed without a corresponding use of other features. Accordingly, it is appropriate that the appended claims be construed broadly and in a manner consistent with the spirit and scope of the invention herein.
