Claims
- 1. A wrapping film, comprising:wrapping film material that has been stretched, from its initial cross-section, under a tension force lying within the range of 10 N/mm2 to 35 N/mm2, wound upon a take-up mandrel, and relaxed upon said take-up mandrel under a tension force lying within the range of 10% to 90% of said stretching tension force.
- 2. A film according to claim 1, wherein:said film material has been wound and relaxed under a tension force lying within the range of 10% to 50% of said stretching tension force.
- 3. A film according to claim 1, wherein:said film material has been partially relaxed at said stretching tension force, after having been stretched and released, for a period of time lying within the range of 0.1 s to 10 s.
- 4. The film as set forth in claim 1, wherein:said film material comprises polyethylene.
- 5. The film as set forth in claim 4, wherein:said film material comprises linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE).
- 6. The film as set forth in claim 4, wherein:said polyethylene film material has a thickness lying within the range of 10 μm to 35 μm.
- 7. The film as set forth in claim 1, wherein:said film material has been stretched under a tension force lying within the range of 10 N/mm2 to 20 N/mm2.
- 8. The film as set forth in claim 1, wherein:said film material has been elongated within the range of 50% to 500%.
- 9. The film as set forth in claim 8, wherein:said film material has been elongated within the range of 200% to 300%.
- 10. In combination, a reel of film, comprising:a hub; and a film wound upon said hub, said film comprising a wrapping film material that has been stretched, from its initial cross-section, under a tension force lying within the range of 10 N/mm2 to 35 N/mm2, wound upon said hub, and relaxed upon said hub under a tension force lying within the range of 10% to 90% of said stretching tension force.
- 11. The combination as set forth in claim 10, wherein:said hub comprises a plastic material.
- 12. The combination as set forth in claim 10, wherein:said hub comprises cardboard.
- 13. The combination as set forth in claim 10, wherein:said film material comprises polyethylene.
- 14. The combination as set forth in claim 13, wherein:said film material comprises linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE).
- 15. The combination as set forth in claim 13, wherein:said polyethylene film material has a thickness lying within the range of 10 μm to 35 μm.
- 16. The combination as set forth in claim 10, wherein:said film material has been stretched under a tension force lying within the range of 10 N/mm2 to 20 N/mm2.
- 17. The combination as set forth in claim 10, wherein:said film material has been elongated within the range of 50% to 500%.
- 18. The combination as set forth in claim 17, wherein:said film material has been elongated within the range of 200% to 300%.
- 19. The combination as set forth in claim 10, wherein:said film material has been wound and relaxed under a tension force lying within the range of 10% to 50% of said stretching tension force.
- 20. The combination as set forth in claim 10, wherein:said film material has been partially relaxed at said stretching tension force, after having been stretched and released, for a period of time lying within the range of 0.1 s to 10 s.
