Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to the ensemble organizers and more specifically to ensemble organizers for storing and organizing garments, accessories or other material.
Typically, people organize and store their clothing emsembles including garments, footwear and accessories separately. For example, pants and shirts hang on a hanger, footwear is placed on racks and undergarments are placed in drawers. Further, accessories are generally stored in separate drawers or containers. If a person wishes to prepare an outfit ensemble for a particular day or event, the person is generally required to select each individual item that will make up the outfit ensemble immediately prior to wearing the outfit ensemble. This approach leads to wastage of time in selecting clothing ensembles and also leads to wastage of space for storing outfit ensembles. Additionally, each item is generally located in a separate location; therefore, it may be misplaced or lost. Furthermore, rummaging through many hangers and drawers in a closet is inconvenient.
Accordingly, there is a need for an outfit ensemble organizer for organizing and storing entire outfit ensembles. Such an organizer would facilitate the prearrangement and selection of ensembles so that an entire outfit ensemble is readily available when required.
Embodiments for an outfit ensemble organizer to organize and store an outfit are described herein. In an embodiment, the outfit includes one or more garments, one or more pairs of footwear and one or more necklaces. The outfit ensemble organizer includes a garment cover for enclosing the one or more garments, a footwear pouch for securing the one or more pairs of footwear and a necklace holder for holding the one or more necklaces. Each of the garment cover, the footwear pouch, the necklace holder is positioned on one or more hangers.
In a further embodiment, the garment cover includes a generally rectangular shaped front face and a rear face, each face having a top edge, a bottom edge, a left edge and a right edge, wherein the top edge is tapered towards the bottom edge. Further, necklines are positioned at the center of the top edge on both the front and rear faces. The front and rear faces being attached together at the top edge, at the left edge and at the right edge to form two lateral faces, wherein interior surfaces of the front and rear faces are adjacent to each other. The necklines on the top edge form a small central opening for inserting hook of the hanger, and the bottom edge forms an opening for inserting the hanger along with the one or more garments.
In another embodiment, the footwear pouch secures one or more pairs of footwear. The footwear pouch including a rectangular section with a front face and a rear face. Two pockets are formed on the front face at both ends of the footwear pouch. The rear face of the footwear pouch includes two hook and loop fastener (such as Velcro®) dots positioned along the top edge of the rear face and two hook and loop fastener (such as Velcro®) dots positioned along the bottom edge of the rear face, wherein the hook and loop fastener (such as Velcro®) dots are positioned such that when the footwear pouch is hung over a horizontal cross-bar of the at least one hangers, the footwear pouch is secured to the horizontal cross-bar by attaching together the two hook and loop fastener (such as Velcro®) dots on the top edge of the rear face and the two hook and loop fastener (such as Velcro®) dots on the bottom edge of the rear face.
In yet another embodiment, the necklace holder holds the one or more necklaces. The necklace holder is generally shaped as an extended oval with a front and a rear face. Each of the front and the rear face comprising a pocket, wherein a top edge of each pocket forms an opening of the each pocket, wherein the each pocket is sized such that the remaining edges of the each pocket are aligned and attached onto the edges of the necklace holder. Multiple pairs of hook and loop fastener (hereinafter also referred to as Velcro®) dots are provided on the centerline of the necklace holder, wherein the pairs of the Velcro® dots are attached to the interior surfaces of the each pocket such that the two Velcro® dots in a pair engage with each other. The one or more necklaces are secured using ribbon ties and positioned inside the pockets, wherein the pairs of Velcro® dots in the pockets are engaged to contain the at least one necklace within the pockets, wherein the ribbon ties are provided on top of the each pocket.

In the following description, numerous specific details are set forth to provide a thorough understanding of the present disclosure. However, it will be clear to one skilled in the art that the present disclosure may be practiced without some or all of these specific details. In other instances, well known process steps have not been described in detail in order to avoid unnecessarily obscuring the present disclosure.
In an exemplary embodiment, a user may place a garment 110 in the garment cover 102, footwear 112 in the footwear pouch 104 and a necklace/jewelry 114 on the necklace/jewelry holder 106. The necklace 114 is secured to the necklace holder 106 using ribbon ties 116. The garment 110 may be one of a dress, a suit, a pant, a short, a jacket, a vest, a shirt, a sweater, a blouse, a skirt, etc. The footwear 112 may be one of shoes, boots, sandals, sneakers, loafers, heels, flats etc. The necklace 114 may be one of a princess necklace, matinee necklace, opera necklace, lariat necklace, cross necklace, diamond necklace, pearl necklace, or any other jewelry, etc. In addition, the user may use the one or more hangers 108 to hang the garment cover 102, the footwear pouch 104, the necklace holder 106 and the lingerie keeper. Thus, the outfit ensemble organizer 100 encloses the outfit and protects it from the elements, including from dust and dirt. The outfit ensemble organizer 100 may also carry the remaining accessories of the outfit ensemble, such as neckties, earrings, hosiery, scarves, belts, jewelry, insignias for uniforms, medals, pins, ribbons, braid, etc.
Further, necklines are positioned at the center of the top edges of both the front and the rear faces 202 and 204. In an exemplary embodiment, diameter of the necklines is 2 inches, such that lower most points of the necklines are approximately 1 inch below the uppermost points of the top edges. Therefore, if L2 is 16.5 inches, then L3 is 15.5 inches.
Further, the front and rear faces 202 and 204 are attached together at top edge (except the necklines), the left edge and the right edge. The top edge forms a small opening at the necklines for inserting hook of the one or more hangers 108 there through, and the bottom edge forms an elongated opening for inserting the one or more hangers 108 along with the one or more garments. The necklines and bottom edges may be self-bound with bias strips. The front and rear faces 202 and 204 may be attached using any method such as stitching or welding. Further, the joining of the front and rear faces 202 and 204 creates two lateral faces, one on the left side and other on the right side.
Moreover, the front and rear faces 202 and 204 each include four rectangular pockets 208 and 210 respectively, that extend along the entire length of the bottom edge of the front and rear faces 202 and 204. Each pocket in the pockets 208 and 210 includes a top edge, a bottom edge, and two side edges, with the bottom edges of each pocket aligning with the bottom edge of either the front face 202 or the rear face 204. In an exemplary embodiment, the width L5 of each pocket is 5.75 inches and the height L6 is 6.5 inches. The pockets 208 and 210 may be used hold items, such as earrings, broaches, rings, hair pieces, or a variety of other similar items. The pockets 208 and 210 may be fabricated using a transparent or translucent fabric, such as organza or nylon mesh. The transparent or translucent material allows a user to view the items without removing them from the pockets. Further, the pockets 208 and 210 may be attached to the front and rear faces 202 and 204 using any suitable method. In an exemplary embodiment, the pockets 208 and 210 may be sewn onto the outer surfaces of the front and rear faces 202 and 204, at the respective bottom and side edges of the pockets 208 and 210. The top edges of the pockets 208 and 210 are not sewn, thereby forming openings for the pockets 208 and 210.
Yet further, top edges of two pleat flaps 212 and 214 are attached along the width of both the front and rear faces 202 and 204, directly above the pockets 208 and 210 respectively. The pleat flaps 212 and 214 hang over the opening of the pockets 208 and 210 and act as a pocket covers, thereby securing the accessory items that are being stored in the pockets 208 and 210. In an exemplary embodiment, the pleat flaps are 1.5 inches wide and 23 inches long.
Moreover, a transparent label pocket 216 is attached onto the center of the front face 202. All edges of the label pocket 216, except for a top edge, may be attached to the front face 202. The top edge is left open to create an opening for the label pocket 216. The side edges of the label pocket 216 may include flower trims 218 that secure the label pocket 216 to the front face 202. In an exemplary embodiment, the label pocket 216 may be 3.75 inches wide and 1.5 inches high. Similarly, a transparent label pocket is attached to each of the two lateral faces. Accordingly, a transparent label pocket 220 is attached on the lateral face 206. The bottom edge of the label pocket 220 is aligned with a bottom edge of the lateral face 206. The label pockets 216 and 220 may be fabricated from a transparent fabric, such as organza or nylon mesh. Finally, a card may be inserted in one or more of the label pockets 216 and 220. The card may be used to label the ensemble and may include a description for which day or occasion the ensemble is to be worn.
The garment cover 102 may be fabricated from several materials, such as muslin, plastic material, vinyl tape or fabric material. For example, the garment cover 102 may be die-cut from vinyl type fabric and the seams sealed by the welding process. The vinyl type fabric may have a soft hand matte finish to prevent a garment from sticking to the fabric. It will be appreciated that the garment cover 102 may be made from many processes and are not limited to the illustrative embodiments of the present disclosure.
The rear face 304 of the footwear pouch 104 includes four hook and loop fastener (such as Velcro®) dots 310, 312, 314 and 316 that are positioned along the top and bottom edges of the rear face 304. Two hook and loop fastener (such as Velcro®) dots 310 and 312 are positioned along the top edge of the rear face 304 and the remaining two hook and loop fastener (such as Velcro®) dots 314 and 316 are positioned along the bottom edge of the rear face 304. In an exemplary embodiment, the two dots along each edge may be positioned at approximately 41 and 51 inches from the left edge of the rear face 304. In another embodiment, instead of hook and loop fastener (such as Velcro®) dots any other suitable fasteners, such as snap-on type fasteners, may be used.
Further, the footwear pouch may be hung over a horizontal cross-bar of the one or more hangers 108 as shown in
In certain embodiments, as the footwear pouch 104 is resting across the cross-bar of the one or more hangers 108, the left edge of the footwear pouch 104 hangs a distance L10 below the right edge, such that the footwear placed in the two pockets do not overlap on each other and the total lateral bulk of the footwear pouch 104 is reduced. In an exemplary embodiment, L9 is 14 inches. Further, the footwear pouch 104 is kept secured to the cross-bar of the one or more hangers 108 by attaching the two hook and loop fastener (such as Velcro®) dots 310 and 316 (as shown in
Each of the front and the rear faces of the necklace holder 106 includes a pocket. A pocket 406 on the front face is labeled as “AQB”. Since, the front and rear faces are identical, the rear face has a similar pocket. A top edge of each of the two pockets forms an opening for the each pocket. Therefore, the top edge “AB” of the pocket 406 is not attached to the necklace holder 106, thereby creating an opening for the pocket 406. The top edge “AB” may also include self-bound bias strips. Further, the top edge “AB” of the pocket 406 is located at a distance L13 down from the top of the necklace holder 106. In an exemplary embodiment, L13 is 3 inches. Further, each of the two pockets is sized such that the remaining edges of the each pocket are aligned and attached onto the edges of the necklace holder 106. Accordingly, the pocket 406 is sized such that the remaining edges of the pocket “AQB” are aligned and sewn onto edges of the necklace holder 106. Thus, the pocket 406 is shaped as a partial oval. Further, the pocket 406 may be made from part cotton muslin and part transparent fabric. A top section 408 (labeled “ABDC”) of the pocket 406 is made from a transparent fabric and extends a distance L14 down from the top edge “AB” of the pocket 406. In an exemplary embodiment, L14 is 3.25 inches. The material making up the remaining portion “CQD” of the pocket 406 may be cotton muslin and extends from the edge “CD” to the bottom of the necklace holder 106 labeled as “Q”. In an exemplary embodiment, the distance between the edge “CD” and “Q” is 15.75 inches.
Further, multiple pairs of hook and loop fastener (also referred to by the tradename Velcro®) dots are provided on the centerline of the necklace holder 106. The pairs of the Velcro® dots are attached to the interior surfaces of the two pockets such that the two Velcro® dots in a pair engage with each other. In an exemplary embodiment, 6 pairs of Velcro® dots are sewn onto the vertical centerline of the necklace holder 106, wherein three pairs are sewn onto the interior surfaces of each of the two pockets. Accordingly, three Velcro® dots 410, 412 and 414 are sewn on one of the interior surfaces of the pocket 406 at 9.5 inches, 12.75 inches, and 16 inches respectively, from the top of the necklace holder 106. Similarly, 3 Velcro® dots are sewn on the second interior surface of the pocket 406 such that the Velcro® dots on the two interior surfaces engage with each other. Further, three Velcro® dot pairs are similarly sewn inside the second pocket on the rear face of the necklace holder 106.
In addition, three pleats 416 (“EFHG”), 418 (“IJLK”) and 420 (“MNPO”) are sewn onto the exterior surface of the front pocket 406 along the width of the necklace holder 106. Similarly, three pleats are sewn on the rear face. The pleats are sewn over the Velcro® dot pairs, thereby concealing the Velcro® dots. In an exemplary embodiment, the width L16 of the pleats 416, 418 and 420 is 1 inch. Further, the distances L15, L17, and L18 between the three pleats are 2.25 inches each.
Finally, a boning material 422 is inserted into a channel that runs the width of the necklace holder 106. In an exemplary embodiment, the boning material 422 is inserted in the channel approximately 1 inch down from the top of the necklace holder 106. The boning material 422 helps to retain the shape of the necklace holder 106.
The necklace 114 (shown in
The lingerie keeper 500 is designed to be used with the one or more hangers 108. It may be hung using a ribbon loop 506 under the garment cover 102 or over the garment cover 102. In an exemplary embodiment, the ribbon loop 506 is made using 16 inches long grosgrain ribbon of ⅜ inch width. The panels labeled “ABDC” and “ABFE” may be of different lengths L19 and L20 respectively. This reduces bulk as the pockets do not overlap; rather they are stacked one above the other. In an exemplary embodiment, L19 is 18.5 inches and L20 is 14 inches.
Further, the lingerie keeper 500 has a piece of plastic boning 508 running across the top so that the lingerie keeper 500 does not sag and items placed in it do not fall out as a result. The plastic boning 508 may be placed in a ½″ stitched casing. Further, decorative flowers 510 may be stitched at corners of the stitched casing.
In further embodiments of the present disclosure, the outfit ensemble organizer 100 is made from cotton muslin or transparent fabric; therefore, each of the garment cover 102, the footwear pouch 104, the necklace holder 106 and the lingerie keeper 500 may be manually washed or machine washed.
