The present invention generally relates to an outwear garment, and more particularly relates to an outwear garment having plurality of pockets to store goods, communication device and gloves covering the upper torso of the human.
The outwear garment for protecting the upper torso of the human is also known as jackets, overcoats, coats etc. Jackets and other garments for keeping a user warm or otherwise protected from the environment are well known in the prior art. Such jackets come in many different designs, depending on their use and preference of the wearer.
Currently, the jackets in the market allow individuals to warm their hands by placing them in small exterior pockets located below the arm pits. This structure is arranged to allow individuals who need to have their hands uncovered by gloves or such to intermittently warm their hands. It is designed to maximize the use of body heat and afford protection from being caught by external objects.
It is a common practice to forget carrying of the gloves or find the gloves before going out of the home. Further, locating scarves, caps, charging of phones etc leads to waste of time. Therefore, there is a need of a jacket or outwear clothing that allows storing of the gloves in the sleeves. Further, the outwear garment should be able to wirelessly charge the communication device.
In accordance with the teachings of the invention an outwear garment for covering the upper torso and arms of the human is provided.
An object of the present invention is to provide outwear garment with a housing is configured to fit around a human torso, the housing having a detachable inner lining to protect the human from cool draft, the housing include a pair of sleeves to receive arms of the human, wherein each sleeve has a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the housing further having a back portion to cover the back of the human, a left side portion to cover from front the left side of the human and a right side portion to cover from front the right side of the human.
Further, the outwear garment includes at least one glove pocket configured near the distal end of each sleeve of the housing, the glove pocket having a zipper opening; and an elastic cord loop sewn in the lining; and a at least one glove configured to store inside each glove pocket, wherein the human opens the zipper opening to access the glove.
Further, the outwear garment includes a hook attached to the glove and further configured to detachably attached with the elastic cord loop of the glove pocket to prevent the gloves from getting lost; a hood having detachable inner lining detachably attached to the housing for covering the head of the human; and a collar detachably attached to the hood to snap around the neck of the human.
Further, the outwear garment includes an elastic face mask having a left end and a right end, the left end of the elastic face mask sewn into the inner lining of the hood and the right end of the elastic face mask looped to detachably attached to the inner lining, wherein the elastic face mask looped over the head to cover the mouth of the human.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a closable glasses pocket configured near to upper torso on the exterior of the housing to access stored glasses. Further another object of the present invention is to provide a hand warmer pockets configured on the exterior of the housing to secure hands from the cold drafts.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a hem extension to detachably connect with the housing to increase the length to cover the lower portion of the human body; and an attachment unit to detachably connect the hem extension with the housing.
Another object of the present invention is to provide the housing with a first pocket configured on inner lining of the left side portion, a second pocket configured on inner lining of the right side portion for storing a communication device, and a communication device holder elastic loop sewn in the inner lining of the second pocket to detachably attach with the communication device.
Another object of the present invention is to provide the housing with a third pocket configured on inner lining of the right side portion for storing goods. Further, the housing includes a communication device holder elastic loop sewn in the inner lining of the second pocket to detachably attach with the communication device.
Another object of the present invention is to provide the housing with a wireless receiving unit configured in the second pocket to receive power from a wireless charger to charge the communication device. Further, the housing includes a third pocket configured on inner lining of the right side portion for storing goods and a tracking pocket having a wireless tracking unit to wirelessly track the location of the housing.
Another object of the present invention is to provide the housing with a hat pocket having a closeable opening configured in the inner lining of the hood for storing a hat. Further, the outwear garment includes a flap to cover the attachment of the housing with the hem extension.
These and other features and advantages will become apparent from the following detailed description of illustrative embodiments thereof, which is to be read in connection with the accompanying drawings.

While this technology is illustrated and described in a preferred embodiment of an outwear garment that may be produced in many different configurations, forms and materials. There is depicted in the drawings, and will herein be described in detail, as a preferred embodiment of the invention, with the understanding that the present disclosure is to be considered as an exemplification of the principles of the invention and the associated functional specifications for its construction and is not intended to limit the invention to the embodiment illustrated. Those skilled in the art will envision many other possible variations within the scope of the technology described herein.
Reference will now be made in detail to several embodiments of the invention which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Wherever feasible and convenient, the same reference numerals are used in the figures and the description to refer to the same or like parts. The drawings are in a simplified form and not to precise scale. For purposes of convenience and clarity only, directional terms, such as top, bottom, left, right, up, down, over, above, below, beneath, rear, and front may be used with respect to the accompanying drawings.
These and similar directional terms should not be strictly construed to limit the scope of the invention. In addition, words such as attached, affixed, coupled, connected and similar terms with their inflectional morphemes are used interchangeably, unless the difference is noted or made otherwise clear from the context. In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the outwear garment 100 includes a closable glasses pocket 110 configured near to upper torso on the exterior of the housing 102 to access stored glasses. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the size of the opening of the pocket is 6 inches and the depth of the glasses pocket 110 is 3.5 inches and the width is 0.375 inches.
In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the outwear garment 100 further comprising hand warmer pockets 112a, 112b configured on the exterior of the housing 102 to secure hands from the cold drafts. In a preferred embodiment, the size of the opening of the hand warmer pockets 112a, 112b is 6.5 inches and the depth is 7 inches. The hand warmer pockets 112a, 112b is fleece lined to warm the hands.
The glove 108 is configured to store inside the glove pocket 104. The human opens the zipper opening 206 to access the glove 108. The hook 210 is attached to the glove 108 and is further configured to detachably attach with the elastic cord loop 208 of the glove pocket 104 to prevent the gloves 108 from getting lost.
The attachment of the glove 108 with the elastic cord loop 208 maintains its position within the glove pocket 104. Thus, the human knows where to find the gloves when the situation arises. The glove 108 is retractable from the glove pocket 104 through the elastic cord loop 208.
The left end 306 of the elastic face mask 304 is sewn into the inner lining of the hood 302. The right end 308 of the elastic face mask 304 looped to detachably attach to inner lining. The elastic face mask 304 is looped over the head to cover the mouth of the human.
In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the elastic face mask 304 may go sideways around the mouth of the human by removing a detachably attached attachment unit attached to the elastic face mask 304. The elastic face mask 304 may be snapped fit on the inner lining of the hood 302.
In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the outwear garment 100 further includes a hat pocket 310 having a closeable opening configured in the inner lining of the hood 302 for storing a hat. Further in another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the hood 302 includes extensions 312a, 312b extending from the inner lining of the hood 302, wherein the extension 312a is detachably attached to the extension 312b.
It would be readily apparent to those skilled in the art that the attachment of extensions, and attachment of the right end of the elastic face mask may be envisioned by using various units such as snap buttons 314 without deviating from the scope of the present invention.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the width of the hat pocket 310 is 12 inches, the opening of the hat pocket 310 is 7 inches and the depth of the hat pocket is 5 inches and the height of the elastic face mask 304 is 5 inches. It would be readily apparent to those skilled in the art that various sizes of elastic face mask 304 and the hat pocket 310 may be envisioned without deviating from the scope of the present invention.
In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the two sides of the collar 402 are detachably attached around the neck of the human. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the height and the width of the hood 302 is 14.5 inches and 11.5 inches, respectively.
The left side portion 504 is detachably attached to the right side portion 506 to cover the front of the human. The attachment of the left side portion 504 to the right side portion 506 may be done through a zipper configuration 508. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the first pocket 507 is configured on the inner lining of the left side portion 502. The size of the first pocket 507 is 7.25″ X 9.5″. The first pocket 507 may be used to store goods that fit in the above mentioned size.
Further, the housing 102 includes a second pocket 510 configured on inner lining of the right side portion 506 for storing a communication device. Further in another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the housing 102 includes a communication device holder elastic loop 512 sewn in the inner lining of the second pocket 510 to detachably attach with the communication device.
The communication device holder elastic loop 512 maintains the position of the communication device within the second pocket 510. Thus, the communication device holder elastic loop 512 does not let the communication device to fall from the second pocket 510. The communication device holder elastic loop 512 is retractable. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the size of the second pocket 510 is 5″×5.25″.
The housing 102 further comprising a wireless receiving unit 514 configured in the second pocket 510 to receive power from a wireless charger to charge the communication device. The wireless charger powers the wireless receiving unit 514 wirelessly while maintain the position of the communication device within the second pocket 510. In a preferred embodiment of the present, the wireless receiving unit 514 is a silicon charging pad.
The housing 102 further comprising a third pocket 516 configured on inner lining of the right side portion 506 for storing goods. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the size of the third pocket 516 is 6″×6″. Further, the housing 102 includes a tracking pocket 518 having a wireless tracking unit 520 to track the location of the housing 102. Examples of the wireless tracking unit 520 includes but not limited to GPS tracking unit.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the attachment unit 704 is a zipper portion that attaches the hem extension 702 to the housing 102. It would be readily apparent to those skilled in the art that various types of attachment unit 704 may be used without deviating from the scope of the present invention. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the outwear garment 100 further includes a flap 706 to cover the attachment of the housing 102 with the hem extension 702.
The present invention offers various advantages such as protecting the user from cold drafts. Further, the present invention provides storage for the gloves and thus the help the users to retain the gloves when required. Furthermore, the outwear garment provides multiple pockets to store goods and without looking bulky. Furthermore, the present invention provides the user with a wireless charging pad to wirelessly charge a communication device.
The many features and advantages of the invention are apparent from the above description. It is apparent from the foregoing that a new and improved outwear garment has been provided. The invention is quite simple and can be used on different surfaces. Many changes, modifications, variations and other uses and applications of the subject invention will, however, become apparent to those skilled in the art after considering this specification and the accompanying drawings which disclose the preferred embodiments thereof. All such changes, modifications, variations and other uses and applications which do not depart from the spirit and scope of the invention are deemed to be covered by the invention, which is to be limited only by the claims which follow.
