Claims
- 1. A driving cable comprising:
an inner core member; a plurality of inner core structures protruding from an exterior surface of said inner core member; and a plurality of outer bead members, said outer bead members being of larger diameter than said inner core structures and each of said outer bead members concentrically surrounding a respective one of said inner core structures.
- 2. The driving cable of claim 1, wherein said inner core member is comprised of a plurality of fibers, said fibers being comprised of a high performance polymer formulation.
- 3. The driving cable of claim 1, wherein said inner core member is comprised of a liquid crystal polymer formulation.
- 4. The driving cable of claim 1, wherein said inner core member is pre-formed with shaped sections functioning as said plurality of inner core structures.
- 5. The driving cable of claim 1, wherein said inner core structures are clamps.
- 6. The driving cable of claim 1, further comprising:
an outer jacket surrounding said inner core member.
- 7. The driving cable of claim 6, wherein said outer jacket is positioned between the inner core member and the outer bead members.
- 8. The driving cable of claim 1, wherein said outer bead members are comprised of a formulation of a polyamide with about 10 to about 33 weight percent fiberglass.
- 9. The driving cable of claim 1, wherein said outer bead members are spherical in shape.
- 10. The driving cable of claim 1 further comprising:
a first and a second end portion of said inner core member, and a first and a second end fitting member, said first and second end fitting member being positioned adjacent to said first and second end portion of said inner core member, respectively.
- 11. The driving cable of claim 1 further comprising:
a first and a second end portion of said inner core member and an end fitting member, said end fitting member functioning as a connection of said first and second end portions of said inner core member forming a closed loop cable.
- 12. A driving cable assembly comprising:
an inner core member having a first and a second end portion; a plurality of inner core structures protruding from an exterior surface of said inner core member; a plurality of outer bead members, said outer bead members being of larger diameter than said inner core structures and each of said outer bead members concentrically surrounding a respective one of said inner core structures to form an interlocking bead system; and a first end fitting member being positioned at said first end portion of said inner core member.
- 13. The driving cable assembly of claim 12 further comprising:
an outer jacket surrounding said inner core member and said inner core structures.
- 14. The driving cable assembly of claim 12, wherein said end fitting member functions to adjoin said first and second end portions of inner core member forming a closed loop cable.
- 15. The driving cable assembly of claim 12 further comprising:
a second end fitting member, said second end fitting member being adjacent to said second end portion of inner core member.
- 16. A method for making a driving cable comprising:
forming an inner core member; forming a plurality of inner core structures which protrude from an exterior surface of said inner core member; providing a plurality of outer bead members being of larger diameter than said inner core structures; and positioning each of said outer bead member so that each of said outer bead members concentrically surrounds a respective one of said inner core structures.
- 17. The method of claim 16 further comprising:
forming said inner core member made from a plurality of continuous filament fibers.
- 18. The method of claim 17 further comprising:
braiding said fibers to form said inner core member.
- 19. The method of claim 17 further comprising:
twisting said fibers to form said inner core member.
- 20. The method of claim 17 further comprising:
placing said fibers in a uni-directional position to form said inner core member.
- 21. The method of claim 17 further comprising:
over-molding said outer bead members in position concentrically surrounding said inner core structures.
- 22. The method of claim 17, wherein the step of forming an inner core member further comprises:
pre-resinating the inner core member to form protruding shaped sections, said shaped sections form the inner core structures.
- 23. The method of claim 17, wherein the step of forming an inner core member further comprises:
pre-forming said inner core member to form an inner core member having a plurality of protruding shaped sections, said shaped sections integral therewith, forming the inner core structure.
- 24. The method of claim 17 further comprising:
adding an outer jacket surrounding said inner core member and inner core structures.
- 25. The method of claim 24 further comprising:
over-molding each of said outer bead members in position concentrically surrounding said inner core structures.
