- 1. An oxide superconductor comprising a Re2(1−q)Ba1+rCuO5+s phase to a RE4(1−q)Ba2(1+r)Cu2O2(5+s) phase minutely disposed in a substantially single crystal of a RE1−xBa2+yCu3Od phase (where RE represents one or more rare earth metal elements including Y), wherein voids each having a diameter of 10 to 500 μm are minutely disposed in said oxide superconductor, and Ag having a diameter of 0.1 to 100 μm is disposed therein, and having a density of 85% to 95% of a theoretical density, and where:−0.3<x<0.3, −0.3<y<0.3, 6.5<d<7.5, −0.3<q<0.3, −0.3<r<0.3, and −0.5<s<0.5.
