Claims
- 1. Triglycerides of formula (I): ##STR7## wherein R represents an oxidized acyl fragment of a polyunsaturated fatty acid containing 18 to 22 carbon atoms, and wherein the unsaturation is due to double bonds, and wherein n is an integer number varying from 2 to 16.
- 2. A method of treating a patient suffering from artherosclerosis, platelet hyperaggregation and conditions where immunomodulation is desired, which comprises administering to the patient an effective amount of the compound of claim 1.
- 3. Triglycerides as defined by Formula I of claim 1, wherein the oxidized acyl fragments are hydroxylated, epoxidized, hydroperoxidized or hydroxyepoxidized acyl fragments.
- 4. Triglycerides as defined by Formula I of claim 1, wherein n represents an integer number of from 2 to 10.
- 5. Therapeutical nutrition products containing one of the triglycerides as defined in claim 1, in possible combination with a neutral vehicle suitable for oral, enteral or parental administration.
- 6. Pharmaceutical compositions containing as the active ingredient a medicine according to claim 1.
