Claims
- 1. An ozone generator having a dielectric element, first and second opposed end cap members and a gas passageway positioned between a high voltage electrode and a ground electrode, and at least one securing member extending between the opposed end cap members and configured to hold the end cap members in place.
- 2. The ozone generator as claimed in claim 1 wherein the dielectric element is constructed from plastic.
- 3. The ozone generator as claimed in claim 1 wherein the at least one securing member comprises a plurality of members extending between the end cap members.
- 4. The ozone generator as claimed in claim 3 wherein the plurality of members are constructed from resilient material.
- 5. The ozone generator as claimed in claim 3 wherein the plurality of members comprise a plurality of springs.
- 6. The ozone generator as claimed in claim 3 wherein the dielectric element has an outer surface and the plurality of member are relatively thin wherein the outer surface of dielectric element is substantially open for cooling the ozone generator.
- 7. The ozone generator as claimed in claim 1 wherein the dielectric element has an outer surface and the end cap members and the dielectric element define the gas passageway and the securing member comprises a plurality of members of relatively thin construction wherein the outer surface of the dielectric element is substantially open for cooling the ozone generator.
- 8. The ozone generator as claimed in claim 1 wherein the dielectric element has first and second longitudinally extending opposed surfaces and the ground electrode is provided adjacent one of the opposed surfaces.
- 9. The ozone generator as claimed in claim 1 wherein the dielectric element has first and second longitudinally extending opposed surfaces and the ground electrode is a coating applied to one of the opposed surfaces.
- 10. The ozone generator as claimed in claim 1 wherein the dielectric element has inner and outer longitudinally extending opposed surfaces and the ground electrode is provided adjacent the outer opposed surface.
- 11. The ozone generator as claimed in claim 1 wherein the dielectric element has inner and outer longitudinally extending opposed surfaces and the ground electrode is a coating applied to the outer opposed surface.
- 12. The ozone generator as claimed in claim 1 wherein a check valve is integrally provided as part of the ozone generator.
