Claims
- 1. A rubber article having an elastomeric body having an outermost layer comprising:
- (a) at least one ozone degradation-prone highly unsaturated polymer; and
- (b) a compound of structure (I), added in an amount effective to protect said unsaturated polymer against ozone attack, ##STR2## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 are radicals independently selected from a C.sub.3 -C.sub.18 branched or linear alkyl, or a C.sub.3 -C.sub.12 cycloalkyl or a C.sub.3 -C.sub.12 cycloalkyl substituted with one or more C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl groups.
- 2. The rubber article according to claim 1, wherein said elastomeric body is a hose.
- 3. The rubber article according to claim 1, wherein said elastomeric body is in the form of a weather strip.
- 4. The rubber article according to claim 1, wherein said elastomeric body is a shoe sole.
- 5. The rubber article according to claim 1, wherein said elastomeric body is a shoe heel.
- 6. The rubber article according to claim 1, wherein said elastomeric body is a cover over an electrical conductor.
- 7. The rubber article according to claim 1, wherein said elastomeric body is in the form of a conveyor belt.
- 8. The rubber article according to claim 1, wherein said elastomeric body is in the form of a V-belt.
- 9. The rubber article according to claim 1, wherein said elastomeric body is in the form of a power transmission belt.
- 10. The rubber article according to claim 1, wherein said elastomeric body is in the form of an air spring.
