Claims
- 1. A multi-use package comprising:a plural number of individually wrapped absorbent feminine care articles; and reclosable packaging including: a flexible pocket having a hollow interior sized and shaped for receiving said plural number of absorbent feminine care articles; an opening extending into the hollow interior of the pocket sized and shaped for permitting said articles to be withdrawn from the hollow interior of the pocket; and a flap attached to the pocket adapted for covering the opening to retain said individually wrapped absorbent feminine care articles in the hollow interior of the pocket, the flap having a length, a width, a free edge and a free edge margin extending inwardly from the free edge a distance less than both the width and length of the flap, said flap being selectably moveable between an open position in which the opening is generally unobstructed by said flap to permit said article to be withdrawn through the opening and a closed position in which the flap covers the opening to retain said article in the pocket and to prevent said article from passing through the opening, the free edge margin of the flap overlying part of an exterior portion of the pocket in the closed position, wherein the flap includes a visual indicator comprising a colored portion having a color different from a color of the remainder of the flap and the exterior portion of the pocket, the colored portion being elongate and having a length extending along the free edge of the flap within the edge margin off the flag to visually distinguish the free edge of the flap from the pocket when the flap is in the closed position to improve visual identification of the free edge of the flap.
- 2. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 1 wherein the visual indicator include a first color along the edge surface of the flap and a second color on at least a portion of an exterior surface of the pocket.
- 3. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 2 wherein the first color is a raw material color of the packaging and the second color is printed on the packaging.
- 4. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 3 wherein the raw material color of the packaging is white.
- 5. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 2 wherein said edge margin of the flap having said first color includes a lower edge margin of the flap.
- 6. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 5 wherein said lower edge margin having said first color has a width less than about 15 millimeters.
- 7. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 6 wherein said lower edge margin having said first color has a width of about 4 millimeters.
- 8. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 2 wherein said edge margin of the flap having said first color includes opposing side edge margins of the flap.
- 9. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 8 wherein each side edge margin having said first color has a width less than about 15 millimeters.
- 10. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 9 wherein each side edge margin having said first color has a width of about 4 millimeters.
- 11. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 2 wherein the flap includes the second color.
- 12. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 1 wherein the packaging comprises a rectangular sheet having opposing side edges and a first fold extending between said side edges so that each side edge has a front portion and a back portion separated by said first fold and so that said first fold forms a bottom of the pocket, wherein the front portion of each side edge is joined with the corresponding back portion of each side edge thereby forming opposing sides of the pocket, and wherein side margins corresponding to the side edges of the sheet are substantially free of printing.
- 13. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 12 wherein the sheet is a heat sealable polymer sheet.
- 14. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 12 wherein the sheet has a second fold extending between said side edges generally parallel to and above said first fold so that said second fold separates the flap from the pocket, and wherein said edge margin of the flap is substantially free of printing.
- 15. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 14 wherein said edge margin of the flap which is substantially free of printing includes a lower edge margin of the flap.
- 16. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 1 wherein the packaging comprises a closure positioned on at least one of said pocket and said flap for releasably holding said flap in the closed position.
- 17. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 16 wherein the closure is spaced from a distal edge of the flap to permit a portion of the flap to be grasped and separated from the pocket without releasing the closure.
- 18. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 1 wherein the plural number of absorbent articles are arranged in a stack.
- 19. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 1 wherein the absorbent feminine care product comprises a panty liner.
- 20. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 1 wherein the absorbent feminine care product comprises an interlabial pad.
- 21. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 1 wherein at least one of the flap and the pocket includes a tactile indicator for distinguishing said free edge of the flap from the pocket to improve tactile identification of the edge of the flap.
- 22. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 21 wherein the tactile indicator comprises a textured portion of an exterior surface of said at least one of the flap and the pocket.
- 23. A multi-use package as set forth in claim 22 wherein the textured portion is a knurled portion of an exterior surface of the flap.
