Claims
- 1. A packaging assembly for shipping and displaying a plurality of products, comprising:
- a first layer of assembled display assemblies; and
- a second layer of assembled display assemblies located on the first layer of assembled display assemblies;
- wherein each assembled display assembly includes a plurality of display packs and a display stand;
- wherein each display pack is a planar assembly including a generally planar front portion adjoined to a generally planar rear portion, the front and rear portions being configured with a frame protruding in opposite directions from the planes of the respective portions of the planar assembly;
- wherein each display pack is configured to hold at least one of the plurality of products, each display pack being substantially larger than the products;
- wherein each display stand includes
- a base panel having a left edge and a right edge,
- a left side panel having a lower end and an upper end, the left side panel's lower end adjoining the base panel's left edge, and
- a right side panel having a lower end and an upper end, the right side panel's lower end adjoining the base panel's right edge,
- wherein each side panel defines a plurality of slots, each slot in the left panel cooperating with a slot in the right side panel to form a corresponding pair of slots,
- wherein each corresponding pair of slots is configured to receive at least one of the display packs, and
- wherein the plurality of display packs are received in the corresponding pairs of slots to form an assembled display assembly; and
- wherein the frames of the display packs of the first layer structurally support the assembled display assemblies of the second layer.
- 2. The packaging assembly of claim 1, and further comprising a pallet, the first layer of assembled display assemblies being located on the pallet.
- 3. The packaging assembly of claim 1, and further comprising material wrapped around the assembled display assemblies.
- 4. The packaging assembly of claim 1, and further comprising a sheet of cardboard located on the first layer of assembled display assemblies, wherein the display stands of the second layer are located on the sheet of cardboard.
- 5. The packaging assembly of claim 1, and further comprising:
- cardboard side panels located on four sides of the assembled display assemblies; and
- material wrapped around the cardboard side panels and the assembled display assemblies.
- 6. The packaging assembly of claim 5, and further comprising a cardboard top panel located on top of the layers of the assembled display assemblies, the cardboard top panel being located within the wrapped material.
- 7. The packaging assembly of claim 1, and further comprising:
- a pallet, the first layer of assembled display assemblies being located on the pallet;
- cardboard side panels located on four sides of the assembled display assemblies; and
- material wrapped around the cardboard side panels and the assembled display assemblies.
- 8. The packaging assembly of claim 7, and further comprising:
- a sheet of cardboard located on first layer of assembled display assemblies, wherein the display stands of the second layer are located on the sheet of cardboard; and
- a cardboard top panel located on top of the layers of the assembled display assemblies, the top cardboard panel being located within the wrapped material.
- 9. The packaging assembly of claim 1, and further comprising a third layer of assembled display assemblies that is located on the second layer of assembled display assemblies.
- 10. The packaging assembly of claim 1, wherein the plurality of display packs are configured to extend up past the upper ends of the side panels when inserted in the corresponding pairs of slots to form an assembled display assembly.
- 11. The packaging assembly of claim 1, wherein the frame of each succeeding display pack in an assembled display assembly is configured to adjoin the next succeeding display pack.
- 12. The packaging assembly of claim 1, wherein the plurality of display packs are configured to adjoin the base panel when inserted in the corresponding pairs of slots to form an assembled display assembly.
- 13. The packaging assembly of claim 1, wherein the plurality of display packs are each configured with a flange around its periphery, and wherein the corresponding pairs of slots are configured to receive the each display pack's flange.
- 14. A method of packaging a plurality of products for shipping and display, comprising:
- forming a plurality of display packs, each display pack holding at least one of the plurality of products, wherein each display pack is substantially larger than some of the products, and wherein each display pack is a planar assembly including a generally planar front portion adjoined to a generally planar rear portion, the front and rear portions being configured with a frame protruding in opposite directions from the planes of the respective portions of the planar assembly;
- inserting the plurality of display packs in corresponding pairs of slots in a plurality of display stands to form a plurality of assembled display assemblies, wherein each display stand includes
- a base panel having a left edge and a right edge,
- a left side panel having a lower end and an upper end, the left side panel's lower end adjoining the base panel's left edge, and
- a right side panel having a lower end and an upper end, the right side panel's lower end adjoining the base panel's right edge,
- wherein each side panel defines a plurality of slots, each slot in the left panel cooperating with a slot in the right side panel to form a corresponding pair of slots,
- wherein each corresponding pair of slots is configured to receive at least one of the display packs, and
- wherein the plurality of display packs are received in the corresponding pairs of slots to form assembled display assemblies;
- forming a first layer of assembled display assemblies; and
- forming a second layer of assembled display assemblies located on the first layer of assembled display assemblies;
- wherein the frames of the display packs of the first layer structurally support the assembled display assemblies of the second layer.
- 15. The method of claim 14, wherein in the step of forming a first layer includes placing the assembled display assemblies of the first layer on a pallet.
- 16. The method of claim 14, and further comprising wrapping the assembled display assemblies in material after forming the second layer.
- 17. The method of claim 14, and further comprising:
- placing a sheet of cardboard on the first layer of assembled display assemblies prior to forming the second layer of assembled display assemblies; and
- forming the second layer on the sheet of cardboard.
- 18. The method of claim 14, and further comprising:
- locating cardboard side panels on four sides of the assembled display assemblies after forming the second layer; and then wrapping the assembled display assemblies in material.
- 19. The method of claim 18, and further comprising locating a cardboard top panel on top of the layers of the assembled display assemblies prior to wrapping the assembled display assemblies.
- 20. The method of claim 14, and further comprising forming a third layer of assembled display assemblies located on the second layer of assembled display assemblies.
- 21. The method of claim 14, wherein, in the step of forming a plurality of display packs, the plurality of display packs are configured to extend up past the upper ends of the side panels when inserted in the corresponding pairs of slots to form an assembled display assembly.
- 22. The method of claim 14, wherein the frame of each succeeding display pack in an assembled display assembly is configured to adjoin the next succeeding display pack.
- 23. The method of claim 14, wherein the plurality of display packs are each configured with a flange around its periphery, and wherein, in the step of inserting, each display pack's flange is received in corresponding pairs of slots.
- 24. A packaging assembly for shipping and displaying a plurality of products, comprising:
- a first layer of assembled display assemblies; and
- a second layer of assembled display assemblies located on the first layer of assembled display assemblies;
- wherein each assembled display assembly includes a plurality of display packs and a display stand;
- wherein each display pack is configured to hold at least one of the plurality of products, each display pack being substantially larger than some of the products;
- wherein each display stand includes
- a base panel having a first edge and a second edge,
- a first side panel having a lower end and an upper end, the first side panel's lower end adjoining the base panel's first edge, and
- a second side panel having a lower end and an upper end, the second side panel's lower end adjoining the base panel's second edge,
- wherein each side panel defines a plurality of slots, each said slot cooperating with another slot defined by the display stand to form a corresponding pair of slots,
- wherein each corresponding pair of slots is configured to receive at least one of the display packs, and
- wherein the plurality of display packs are received in the corresponding pairs of slots to form an assembled display assembly; and
- wherein the plurality of display packs are configured to extend up past the upper ends of the side panels when received in the corresponding pairs of slots to form an assembled display assembly, such that the display packs of the first layer structurally support the assembled display assemblies of the second layer.
- 25. The packaging assembly of claim 24, and further comprising a pallet, the first layer of assembled display assemblies being located on the pallet.
- 26. The packaging assembly of claim 24, and further comprising material wrapped around the assembled display assemblies.
- 27. The packaging assembly of claim 24, and further comprising a sheet of cardboard located on the first layer of assembled display assemblies, wherein the display stands of the second layer are located on the sheet of cardboard.
- 28. The packaging assembly of claim 24, and further comprising:
- cardboard side panels located on four sides of the assembled display assemblies; and
- material wrapped around the cardboard side panels and the assembled display assemblies.
- 29. The packaging assembly of claim 28, and further comprising a cardboard top panel located on top of the layers of the assembled display assemblies, the cardboard top panel being located within the wrapped material.
- 30. The packaging assembly of claim 24, and further comprising:
- a pallet, the first layer of assembled display assemblies being located on the pallet; and
- cardboard side panels located on four sides of the assembled display assemblies; and
- material wrapped around the cardboard side panels and the assembled display assemblies.
- 31. The packaging assembly of claim 30, and further comprising:
- a sheet of cardboard located on first layer of assembled display assemblies, wherein the display stands of the second layer are located on the sheet of cardboard; and
- a cardboard top panel located on top of the layers of the assembled display assemblies, the cardboard top panel being located within the wrapped material.
- 32. The packaging assembly of claim 24, and further comprising a third layer of assembled display assemblies that is located on the second layer of assembled display assemblies.
- 33. The packaging assembly of claim 24, wherein the plurality of display packs are configured to adjoin the base panel when inserted in the corresponding pairs of slots to form an assembled display assembly.
- 34. The packaging assembly of claim 24, wherein each display pack is a planar assembly including a generally planar front portion adjoined to a generally planar rear portion, the planar assembly being configured with a frame protruding from the plane of the planar assembly.
- 35. The packaging assembly of claim 34, wherein the frame of each succeeding display pack in an assembled display assembly is configured to adjoin the next succeeding display pack.
- 36. A method of packaging a plurality of products for shipping and display, comprising:
- forming a plurality of display packs, each display pack holding at least one of the plurality of products, wherein each display pack is substantially larger than some of the products;
- inserting the plurality of display packs in corresponding pairs of slots in a plurality of display stands to form a plurality of assembled display assemblies, wherein each display stand includes
- a base panel having a first edge and a second edge,
- a first side panel having a lower end and an upper end, the first side panel's lower end adjoining the base panel's first edge, and
- a second side panel having a lower end and an upper end, the second side panel's lower end adjoining the base panel's second edge,
- wherein each side panel defines a plurality of slots, each said slot cooperating with another slot defined by the display stand to form a corresponding pair of slots,
- wherein each corresponding pair of slots is configured to receive at least one of the display packs, and
- wherein the plurality of display packs are received in the corresponding pairs of slots to form assembled display assemblies;
- forming a first layer of assembled display assemblies; and
- forming a second layer of assembled display assemblies located on the first layer of assembled display assemblies;
- wherein the plurality of display packs are configured to extend up past the upper ends of the side panels when inserted in the corresponding pairs of slots to form an assembled display assembly, such that the display packs of the first layer structurally support the assembled display assemblies of the second layer.
- 37. The method of claim 36, wherein in the step of forming a first layer includes placing the assembled display assemblies of the first layer on a pallet.
- 38. The method of claim 36, and further comprising wrapping the assembled display assemblies in a material after forming the second layer.
- 39. The method of claim 36, and further comprising:
- placing a sheet of cardboard on the first layer of assembled display assemblies prior to forming the second layer of assembled display assemblies; and
- forming the second layer on the sheet of cardboard.
- 40. The method of claim 36, and further comprising:
- locating cardboard side panels on four sides of the assembled display assemblies after forming the second layer; and then
- wrapping the assembled display assemblies in a material.
- 41. The method of claim 40, and further comprising locating a cardboard top panel on top of the layers of the assembled display assemblies prior to wrapping the assembled display assemblies.
- 42. The method of claim 36, and further comprising forming a third layer of assembled display assemblies located on the second layer of assembled display assemblies.
- 43. The method of claim 36, wherein, in the step of forming a plurality of display packs, the plurality of display packs are configured to extend up past the upper ends of the side panels when inserted in the corresponding pairs of slots to form an assembled display assembly.
- 44. The method of claim 36, wherein each display pack is a planar assembly including a generally planar front portion adjoined to a generally planar rear portion, the planar assembly being configured with a frame protruding from the plane of the planar assembly.
- 45. The method of claim 44, wherein the frame of each succeeding display pack in an assembled display assembly is configured to adjoin the next succeeding display pack.
- 46. A packaging assembly for shipping and displaying a plurality of products, comprising:
- a pallet;
- a first layer of assembled display assemblies located on the pallet;
- a second layer of assembled display assemblies located on the first layer of assembled display assemblies; and
- material wrapped around the assembled display assemblies;
- wherein each assembled display assembly includes a plurality of display packs and a display stand;
- wherein each display pack is a planar assembly including a generally planar front portion adjoined to a generally planar rear portion, the front and rear portions being configured with a frame protruding in opposite directions from the planes of the respective portions of the planar assembly;
- wherein each display pack is configured to hold at least one of the plurality of products, each display pack being substantially larger than the products;
- wherein each display stand includes
- a base panel having a left edge and a right edge,
- a left side panel having a lower end and an upper end, the left side panel's lower end adjoining the base panel's left edge, and
- a right side panel having a lower end and an upper end, the right side panel's lower end adjoining the base panel's right edge,
- wherein each side panel defines a plurality of slots, each slot in the left panel cooperating with a slot in the right side panel to form a corresponding pair of slots,
- wherein each corresponding pair of slots is configured to receive at least one of the display packs, and
- wherein the plurality of display packs are received in the corresponding pairs of slots to form an assembled display assembly; and
- wherein the frames of the display packs of the first layer structurally support the assembled display assemblies of the second layer.
- 47. The packaging assembly of claim 46, and further comprising cardboard side panels located on the sides of the assembled display assemblies, the cardboard side panels being located within the wrapped material.
- 48. A method of packaging a plurality of products for shipping and display, comprising:
- forming a plurality of display packs, each display pack holding at least one of the plurality of products, wherein each display pack is substantially larger than some of the products, and wherein each display pack is a planar assembly including a generally planar front portion adjoined to a generally planar rear portion, the front and rear portions being configured with a frame protruding in opposite directions from the planes of the respective portions of the planar assembly;
- inserting the plurality of display packs in corresponding pairs of slots in a plurality of display stands to form a plurality of assembled display assemblies, wherein each display stand includes
- a base panel having a left edge and a right edge,
- a left side panel having a lower end and an upper end, the left side panel's lower end adjoining the base panel's left edge, and
- a right side panel having a lower end and an upper end, the right side panel's lower end adjoining the base panel's right edge,
- wherein each side panel defines a plurality of slots, each slot in the left panel cooperating with a slot in the right side panel to form a corresponding pair of slots,
- wherein each corresponding pair of slots is configured to receive at least one of the display packs, and
- wherein the plurality of display packs are received in the corresponding pairs of slots to form assembled display assemblies;
- forming a first layer of assembled display assemblies on a pallet;
- forming a second layer of assembled display assemblies located on the first layer of assembled display assemblies; and
- wrapping the assembled display assemblies in material after forming the second layer;
- wherein the frames of the display packs of the first layer structurally support the assembled display assemblies of the second layer.
- 49. The method of claim 48, and further comprising locating side panels on four sides of the assembled display assemblies after forming the second layer, and then wrapping the assembled display assemblies in material.
