The present disclosure relates to the field of packaging assembly. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a packaging assembly for mailing a home security device by direct mail package.
Over the last few years, there has been a significant rise in use of home security devices. The home security devices facilitates in remote monitoring of facilities. The home security devices are equipped with a plurality of sensors and various electrical components. The plurality of sensors and electrical components are designed and manufactured separately. The plurality of sensors and electrical components are assembled together to enable the home security devices. The plurality of sensors and electrical components are not designed spaciously and efficiently with respect to one another. The plurality of sensors and electrical components are assembled randomly and asynchronously. The plurality of sensors and electrical components take up a lot of space. As a result, the home security devices are bulky and heavy in weight. The home security devices are designed with no constraints or regulations over physical dimensions, weight and form factor. The home security devices are not suitable for mailing by direct mail packages.
In light of the above stated discussion, there is a need for a packaging assembly for compact home security device which overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art.
The present disclosure provides a packaging assembly for mailing a home security device by direct mail package. The packaging assembly includes an envelope. The envelope includes a first panel. The envelope includes a second panel. The envelope includes a seal flap. The seal flap is affixed on a first side of the first panel. The envelope provides space for encapsulating a foam cushioning. The foam cushioning is characterized by a cuboidal shape. The foam cushioning includes a first face and a second face. The second face includes a first section and a second section. The first section of the second face is a rectangular pocket. The envelope encapsulates the home security device. The home security device includes a protective housing encapsulating a plurality of electrical components. The home security device is characterized by a substantially cuboidal shape. The rectangular pocket on the second face of the foam cushioning receives the home security device. Size of the rectangular pocket is identical to size of the home security device. The home security device is characterized by a length, a width, a height and a weight. The envelope encapsulates a first layer. The first layer covers the first face of the foam cushioning. The envelope encapsulates a second layer. The second layer covers the second section of the second face of the foam cushioning and a segment of the home security device embedded in the rectangular pocket of second face of the foam cushioning. The packaging assembly complies with a plurality of requirements of direct mail packages.
In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the packaging assembly includes one or more first inserts. The one or more first inserts are positioned between the second layer and the envelope. Each of the one or more first inserts is a printed paper.
In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the envelope includes one or more indicia. The one or more indicia are at one or more positions. The one or more positions include the seal flap and the second panel of the envelope. The envelope includes a branding section. The branding section is on the first panel.
In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the length of the home security device is 9±0.5 centimeters.
In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the width of the home security device assembly is 3.9±0.5 centimeters.

For examples, postcards with an offer, catalogs that display goods, coupons, solicitation letters from non-profits and free samples sent by businesses. The packaging assembly 100 is ideal for dispatching by direct mail package. Physical dimensions of the packaging assembly 100 comply with various requirements of direct mail package. The packaging assembly 100 is compact in size and light in weight. Compact size and light weight enables the packaging assembly 100 to be dispatched by direct mail packages.
The packaging assembly 100 complies with a plurality of requirements of direct mail packages. The plurality of requirements of direct mail packages includes one or more aspect ratio requirements. Aspect ratio of the packaging assembly 100 is strictly in accordance with the one or more flexibility requirements of direct mail packages. In addition, the packaging assembly 100 includes one or more first inserts and one or more second inserts. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the packaging assembly 100 includes any suitable components. The packaging assembly 100 is designed according to the plurality of requirements of direct mail package. The packaging assembly 100 complies with the plurality of requirements of direct mail package.
The envelope 200 includes a first panel 202, a second panel 204 and a seal flap 206. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the envelope includes any suitable elements of the like. The first panel 202 is characterized by rectangular shape. The first panel 202 includes a first side 202a, a second side 202b, a third side 202c and a fourth side 202d. The second panel 204 is characterized by a U shape. Also, the second panel 204 includes a second side 204b, a third side 204c and a fourth side 204d. The envelop 200 is formed of paper. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the envelope 200 is formed of Tyvek. In another embodiment of the present disclosure, the envelope 200 is formed of any suitable material with comparable weight to paper.
The first panel 202 includes a continuous ledge 208a-c extending from three sides of the first panel 202. The continuous ledge 208a-c corresponds to a single ledge extending from entire length of the three different sides of the first panel 202. The three sides of the first panel 202 are the second side 202b, the third side 202c and the fourth side 202d. The continuous ledge 208a-c includes a first extended section 208a, a second extended section 208b, and a third extended section 208c. The first extended section 208a extends from the second side 202b. The second extended section 208b extends from the third side 202c. The third extended section 208c extends from the fourth side 202d.
The first extended section 208a, the second extended section 208b, and the third extended section 208c collectively enable the continuous ledge 208a-c. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, each of the extended section extends from any suitable sides. Plane of each of the continuous ledge 208a-c is orthogonal to plane of the first panel 202. Plane of the first extended section 208a is orthogonal to plane of the first panel 202. Plane of the second extended section 208b is orthogonal to plane of the first panel 202. Plane of the second extended section 208b is orthogonal to plane of the second panel 204. Plane of the third extended section 208c is orthogonal to plane of the second panel 204. Length of the second side 204b of the second panel 204 is identical to length of the second side 202b of the first panel 202. Length of the third side 204c of the second panel 204 is identical to length of the third side 202c of the first panel 202. Length of the fourth side 204d of the second panel 204 is identical to length of the fourth side 202d of the first panel 202.
The envelope 200 includes the seal flap 206. The seal flap 206 is affixed on the first side 202a of the first panel 202. The seal flap 206 includes a first side 206a, a second side 206b, a third side 206c and a fourth side 206d. The first side 206a of the seal flap 206 is affixed with the first side 202a of the first panel 202. The seal flap 206 facilitates to seal the envelope 200. The seal flap 206 extends from the first side 202a of the first panel 202 to the second panel 204. The third side 206c of the seal flap 206 is affixed on the second panel 204 to seal the envelope 200. The seal flap 206 prevents content of envelop 200 from falling out of the envelope 200. The first panel 202, the second panel 204, the seal flap 206 and the continuous ledge 208a-c collective enables housing space of the envelope 200.
Further, the envelope 200 includes one or more indicia 210. In general, indicia refer to signs, indications, marks or distinguishing lines and patterns. The one or more indicia 210 are at one or more positions. The one or more indicia 210 are positioned in accordance with requirements of direct mail package. The one or more positions include the seal flap 206 and the second panel 204 of the envelope 200. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the one or more indicia 210 are at any suitable position of the like. The one or more indicia 210 are human-readable. The one or more indicia 210 have blank space in a range of 0.5 inches to 1 inch around indicia. The envelope 200 includes a branding section 212. In general, branding section corresponds to an outer section of envelop utilized for branding and promotion. The branding section 212 is at the first panel 202. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the branding section is at any suitable position of the like.
The foam cushioning 300 includes a first face 302 and a second face 304. The first face 302 of the foam cushioning 300 is characterized by rectangular shape. The first face 302 and the second face 304 are parallel to one another. The first face 302 and the second face 304 are opposite faces of the cuboidal shape of the foam cushioning 300. The second face 304 of the foam cushioning 300 includes a first section 306 and a second section 308. The first section 306 of the second face 304 is a rectangular pocket. The second face 304 of the foam cushioning 300 includes the rectangular pocket. The rectangular pocket corresponds to a rectangular intrusion on the second face 304 of the foam cushioning 300. Direction of intrusion of the rectangular intrusion is orthogonal to plane of the second face 304. Direction of intrusion of the rectangular intrusion is towards the first face 302 of the foam cushioning 300. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the rectangular intrusion is in any suitable direction of the like.
The second face 304 of the foam cushioning 300 includes the second section 308. The second section 308 refers to remaining section of the second face 304 after excluding the first section 306. The second section 308 refers to remaining section of the second face 304 after excluding the rectangular pocket or rectangular intrusion. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the second section 308 refers to any suitable section of the second face 304. The foam cushioning 300 is formed of polyethylene foam. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the foam cushioning 300 is formed of any suitable material of the like.
The packaging assembly 100 includes the home security device 400.
The protective housing 404 of the home security device 400 substantially encapsulates the plurality of electrical component 402. The protective housing 404 provides mechanical support to the plurality of electrical component 402. The protective housing 404 isolates the plurality of electrical component 402 from dust, dirt moisture and other foreign elements. The protective housing 404 facilitates to install the home security device 400 on a surface. The protective housing 404 includes one or more provisions for affixing the home security device 400 against the surface.
The home security device 400 pairs directly with a plurality of devices without requiring a hub. In general, hub corresponds to a common connection point for devices in a network. The home security device 400 is equipped with wireless communication means to communicate with various wireless communication devices. The plurality of devices includes Wi-Fi enabled devices, Bluetooth enabled devices and a plurality of communication devices. The home security device 400 pairs directly with home Wi-Fi network of user. The home security device 400 does not require additional means for connecting with home Wi-Fi, Bluetooth device or communication device. The plurality of communication devices includes smartphones, tablets, laptops and the like. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the home security device 400 connects with any suitable wireless device of the like.
The home security device 400 includes the plurality of electrical component 402. The plurality of electrical component 402 enables monitoring, intrusion detection and surveillance of the facility. The plurality of electrical component 402 includes power storage devices. The power storage device provides electrical power to various electrical components of the home security device 400. The plurality of electrical component 402 includes one or more sensors 402a. The one or more sensors 402a enable plurality of security features for monitoring of the facility by the home security device 400. The one or more sensors 402a for the home security device 400 are selected from a group.
The group includes motion sensor, glass break sensor, door open/close sensor, window open close sensor, object detection sensor and tamper detection sensor. The segment of the home security device 400 refers to the second face 408 of the home security device 400 excluding the one or more sensors 402a. The substantially rectangular cavity 602 of the second layer 600 provides open space for the one or more sensors 402a. The second layer 600 covers the second section 308 and the segment of the home security device 400 embedded in the foam cushioning 300. The second layer 600 covers the second section 308 and the second face 408 of the home security device 400 excluding the one or more sensors 402a. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the second layer 600 covers any suitable portion of the second face 304. Rectangular shape of the second layer 600 is identical in size to rectangular shape of the first face 302 of the foam cushioning 300. Plane of the second layer 600 is parallel to plane of the first face 302 of the foam cushioning 300. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the second layer 600 is of any suitable cross section.
In addition, the packaging assembly 100 one or more first inserts 102. The one or more first inserts 102 are positioned between the second layer 600 and the envelope 200. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the one or more first inserts 102 are positioned at any suitable position of the like. Each of the one or more first inserts 102 is a printed paper. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the one or more first inserts 102 contains information associated with the home security device 400. In another embodiment of the present disclosure, the one or more first inserts 102 contains instructions and specification of the home security device 400. In yet another embodiment of the present disclosure, the one or more first inserts 102 is user manual of the home security device 400. In yet another embodiment of the present disclosure, the one or more inserts 102 includes any suitable information of the like.
The packaging assembly includes one or more second inserts. The one or more second inserts are positioned between the second layer 600 and the envelope 200. Each of the one or more second inserts is selected from a group. The group includes one or more coupons, one or more offers, one or more discounts and one or more deals. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the one or more second inserts includes any suitable information.
