DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

In the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments, reference is made to the accompanying drawings which form a part hereof, and in which is shown by way of illustration specific embodiments in which the invention may be practiced.

Please refer to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3. FIG. 1 is an isometric view of a packing box 100 according to a first embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is an isometric view of a cross-section A-A′ of FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 is a top view of the cross-section A-A′ of FIG. 1.

The packing box 100 of the embodiment includes a top wall, a bottom wall 101, four sidewalls 102, and at least four securing members. The sidewalls 102 are mutually connected, that is, two adjacent sidewalls 102 are mutually connected. The top wall and the bottom wall 101 are located at a top portion and a bottom portion of the packing box 100, respectively. Each of the securing members is arranged at an inner side of a junction between the two adjacent sidewalls 102. The two adjacent sidewalls 102 can be mutually connected by means of forming one piece, or by a connector.

Each of the securing members includes a securing plate 103 and a shock absorbing member 104. The securing plate 103 is perpendicular to the bottom wall 101. Two side ends of the securing plate 103 are connected to the two adjacent sidewalls 102, respectively. The securing plate 103 has a third surface. The third surface is a surface of the securing plate 103 opposite the junction. A first surface of the shock absorbing member 104 is connected to the third surface of the securing plate 103. A limiting portion 1041 is formed at a second surface of the shock absorbing member 104.

By the above technical scheme, when the packing box 100 containing the article falls onto the ground, a pressure (i.e., impact force) is applied at one sidewall by the article through the shock absorbing member 104. The impact force is dissipated by the securing plate 103. A part of the dissipated impact force is withstood by another adjacent sidewall. Thus, the impact force applied by the article to the sidewalls 102 is greatly reduced, thereby solving the problem of the sidewalls 102 of the packing box 100 being damaged by a greater impact force.

In the packing box 100 of the embodiment, the side ends of the securing plate 103 have a bending portion, respectively. The bending portion is embedded in the sidewall 102. A plane of a tail end of the bending portion is parallel to the sidewalls 102.

The bending portion is provided with at least one first screw hole. Each of the sidewalls 102 is provided with at least one second screw hole. The first screw hole is aligned with the second screw hole. The tail end of the bending portion has the first screw hole. The first screw hole and the second screw hole are coupled together by a first screw 105.

The first surface of the shock absorbing member 104 has a first engaging portion. The third surface of the securing plate 103 has a second engaging portion. The first engaging portion engages mutually with the second engaging portion. Specifically, the first engaging portion is concave/convex, and the second engaging portion is convex/concave. That is, the first engaging portion is concave, while the second engaging portion is convex. Or the first engaging portion is convex, while the second engaging portion is concave.

The limiting portion 1041 is a groove, and a straight line located at the groove is perpendicular to the bottom wall 101. A cross-section of the groove corresponds to a cross-section of one of the corners of the article contained in the packing box 100. For example, one of the corners of the article is a right angle, while the groove is a dentate groove (i.e., the cross-section of the groove is tooth shaped and dented inward).

The securing plate 103 includes a first substrate, a securing interlayer, and a second substrate. The first substrate, the securing interlayer, and the second substrate are stacked and combined, and the securing interlayer is sandwiched between the first substrate and the second substrate. For example, the first substrate and the second substrate are respectively a metal plate, a plastic plate, or a plank, and the securing interlayer includes at least two metal meshes or plastic meshes. The metal meshes or the plastic meshes are stacked and combined with each other. The surfaces of the first substrate and the second substrate that are contacted with the metal meshes or the plastic meshes are embedded in the metal meshes or the plastic meshes. Specifically, a plurality of bumps are placed at the surfaces of the first substrate and the second substrate that are contacted with the metal meshes or the plastic meshes, and the bumps are embedded in the meshes of the metal meshes or the plastic meshes.

By sandwiching the metal meshes or the plastic meshes between the first substrate and the second substrate, the greater impact force can be rapidly dissipated by the metal meshes or the plastic meshes when the greater impact force is applied at the securing plate 103, thereby reducing the greater impact force (or pressure) withstood by the sidewalls 102.

There is an angle between the securing plate 103 and one of the two adjacent sidewalls 102. The angle is between 25 and 65 degrees. For example, the two adjacent sidewalls 102 include a first sidewall and a second sidewall. For example, the two adjacent sidewalls 102 include a first sidewall and a second sidewall. There is a first angle between the securing plate 103 and the first sidewall. There is a second angle between the securing plate 103 and the second sidewall. The angle includes the first angle and the second angle. The examples of the angle are described as follows: (Example 1) the first angle of 25 degrees and the second angle of 65 degrees, or conversely, the first angle of 65 degrees and the second angle of 25 degrees; (Example 2) the first angle of 30 degrees and the second angle of 60 degrees, or conversely, the first angle of 60 degrees and the second angle of 30 degrees; (Example 3) the first angle of 35 degrees and the second angle of 55 degrees, or conversely, the first angle of 55 degrees and the second angle of 35 degrees; (Example 4) the first angle of 40 degrees and the second angle of 50 degrees, or conversely, the first angle of 50 degrees and the second angle of 40 degrees; and (Example 5) the first angle of 45 degrees and the second angle of 45 degrees.

The shock absorbing member 104 is foamed plastic, rubber or corrugated paper. The shock absorbing member 104 contains solid particles, and the solid particles are uniformly dispersed in the shock absorbing member 104. The weight ratio or the volume ratio of the solid particles to the shock absorbing member 104 is from 0.2 to 0.8. For example, the weight ratio or the volume ratio of the solid particles to the shock absorbing member 104 is 0.2, 0.25, 0.28, 0.33, 0.37, 0.44, 0.47, 0.50, 0.53, 0.56, 0.61, 0.65, 0.69, 0.72, 0.77, or 0.80. The shape of the solid particles can be a sphere. Of course, the shape of the solid particles can also be a cube, a cuboid, or other regular or irregular cubes. The solid particles can be metal particles, ceramic particles, plastic particles, and the like.

A second embodiment of the packing box 100 according the present invention is similar to the first embodiment. The second embodiment and the first embodiment are different in that the shock absorbing member 104 and the securing plate 103 are mutually fixed by at least one second screw.

A third embodiment of the packing box 100 according the present invention is similar to the first embodiment or the second embodiment. The third embodiment and the first embodiment (or the second embodiment) are different in that a glue layer is further sandwiched between the first surface of the shock absorbing member 104 and the third surface of the securing plate 103. The securing plate 103 and the shock absorbing member 104 are fixed firmly to each other by providing the glue layer between the first surface and the third surface, thereby is advantageous that a force applied by the shock absorbing member 104 is withstood by the securing plate 103.

It should be understood, however, that even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
