The present invention relates to a padded seat which is used as being mounted on a chair.
Conventionally, among chairs used as office furniture, elbow rests were originally furnished, and the elbow rest was generally installed by way of a support member raised from the seat side.
Accordingly, in the chairs of this type, a large space was formed between the elbow rest and the seat side of the chair, and air communicates through this space, and to prevent cooling of the body, or disclosure of the clothes of the occupant, it was necessary to pay attention to the state of the clothes.
In addition, in the case of a chair provided with elbow rests, if attempted to store the chair in the space beneath the desk, the elbow rests were often obstacles for storing inside.
On the other hand, in the case of a chair not provided with elbow rests, there was no problem when storing the chair in the space beneath the desk as mentioned above, but there was nothing to shut off the passage of air, and the body was cooled and the clothes of the occupant were disclosed, and it was necessary to pay attention to the state of the clothes.
In this background, the present applicant previously proposed, in a chair generally used as an office furniture, a padded seat having elbow parts capable of solving problems of anticipation to pay attention to the state of the clothes, due to cooling of the body, or disclosure of the clothes of the occupant (see patent document 10.
[Patent document 1] Japanese Patent Document Publication No. 4291339
However, in the case of the invention disclosed in Patent document 1, too, when the elbow part is provided along the overall length of the seat part, there was a problem of the elbow part disturbing when attempted to store the chair in the space beneath the desk.
In addition, for heat insulation, a lap cover was often provided, but when the lap cover was used alone, the lap cover was likely to slip down, and the elbow rest of the chair of this kind is not long enough to reach the length from the front end to the rear end of the seat of the chair, and the drooping portion of the lap cover was likely to contact with the floor while not in use, and the lap cover might be stained.
The present invention relates to the problems of the conventional chair, and the elbow part of the padded seat is extended nearly to the overall length of the seat, which solves the problems of cooling of the body, disclosure of the clothes of the occupant, or necessity of consideration to pay attention to the state of the clothes, and it is a first object thereof to present a padded seat for a chair capable of solving the problems of the seat part disturbing the trouble of the seat part when the chair is stored within a space.
It is a second object of the invention to present a padded seat for a chair capable of solving the problems when the lap cover is used.
To achieve the first object, the padded seat for a chair of the invention has a lifting and retaining mechanism capable of selectively maintaining the elbow portion tilted and raised at the inner side along the surface of the seat part, in the padded seat provided with elbow parts attached to both sides of the seat installed and used in the chair.
In this case, the lifting and retaining mechanism may comprise magnetic attaching means disposed between a base part of the seat part and a connecting position of the base part.
The lifting and retaining mechanism may be composed of a fastener disposed between the base part of the elbow part, and a connecting position of the base part of the elbow part of the seat part.
To achieve the second object, the padded seat for a chair of the invention has a lap cover using a sheet material capable of wrapping the lap part in a state sitting on the chair, attached integrally by way of attaching means.
According to the padded seat for a chair of the invention, the padded seat having elbow parts attached to both sides of the seat part used as being installed in the chair is furnished with a lifting and retaining mechanism capable of selectively maintaining the elbow portion tilted and raised at the inner side along the surface of the seat part, and therefore by maintaining the elbow part provided nearly along the overall length of the seat part in a tilted state, it is possible to solve the problems of the conventional chair, such as cooling of the body, disclosure of the clothes of the occupant, or necessity to pay attention to the state of the clothes.
Further, when the padded seat for a chair of the invention is used in a chair not furnished with the lap cover, in particular, by maintaining the elbow part in a state tilted to the inner side along the surface of the seat part, there is no trouble when storing the elbow part in a space of the desk, and the chair can be safety stored in the space of the desk.
Moreover, the lifting and retaining mechanism may be configured in s much simplified configuration, by composing the lifting and retaining mechanism of detaching mechanism disposed between the base part of the elbow part, and the connecting position of the base part of the elbow part of the seat part, or of a fastener disposed between the base part of the elbow part, and the connecting position of the base part of the elbow part of the seat part.
Still more, lap cover using a sheet material capable of wrapping the lap part in a state sitting on the chair can be attached integrally by way of attaching means, and it helps to solve the problems of slipping of the lap cover when the lap cover is used alone, and moreover since the length of the lap cover of the chair of this kind is mostly short enough as compared with the length from the front end till the rear end of the seat part of the chair, it helps to solve the problem of staining of the lap cover due to contact of the drooping portion of the lap cover when not in use with the floor.
Herein, embodiments of the padded seat for a chair of the invention are specifically described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
This padded seat 1 for a chair is used as being installed in a chair (not shown), and in this padded seat, elbow parts 12 are attached to both sides of the seat part 11, and it is furnished with a lifting and retaining mechanism 2 for selectively maintaining the elbow parts 12 between a state tilted to the inner side and an erected state, along the surface of the seat part 11.
Accordingly, in this padded sear 1 for a chair, still more, a lifting and retaining mechanism 2 is similarly disposed between the back rest 13 and the elbow part 12, so as to attach the back rest 13 to the rear end of the seat part 11.
In this case, the seat part 11, the elbow part 12, and the back rest 13 are not particularly specified, but may be manufactured preferably, for example, by using cushioning blocks of structural bodies of foamed resin materials of linear textile material or foamed urethane resins covered with enveloping materials of cotton cloth, woven cloth, blanket or other fabrics.
The seat part 11, the elbow part 12, and the back rest 13 are may be either connected directly by sewing enveloping materials, or connected detachably by way of the lifting and retaining mechanism 2, and in any case, the elbow part 12 is tilted to the inner side along the surface of the seat part 11.
The lifting and retaining mechanism 2 may be composed of a magnet, magnetic attaching means of magnet and magnetic material, surface fastener, snap fastener, and other various fasteners, or by combination thereof.
The configuration of connecting positions of the seat part 11, the elbow part 12, and the back rest 13 is as shown in
At the connecting positions of the seat part 11, the elbow part 12, and the connecting positions of the back rest 13 and the elbow part 12, the lifting and retaining mechanism 2 is disposed, and therefore the elbow part 12 can be selectively maintained between a state inclined to the inner side and an upright state along the surface of the seat part 11.
Moreover, as shown in a modified embodiment in
Meanwhile, the lifting and retaining mechanism 2 may be composed of attaching means or fastener, and an example of combination thereof is shown in
More specifically, the attracting means to be disposed at both ends of the connecting positions of the seat part 11 and the elbow part 12 may be composed of a magnet 21 and a magnetic element (iron plate, and the fastener to be disposed between them may be composed of a surface fastener 23.
In this case, the surface fastener 23 is disposed between the seat part 11 and the elbow part 12 by way of sheet pieces 11a, 12a, so that the elbow part 12 may be selectively maintained between a state tilted to the inner side along the surface of the seat part 11, and an upright state.
Alternatively, the padded seat 1 for a chair may be also composed as shown in
The lap cover 3 can sufficiently insulate thermally by wrapping the wrapping the waist in a seated state on a chair, and moreover as shown in
Therefore, it is possible to solve problems, such as ease of slipping of the lap cover when the lap cover is used alone, or possibility of staining of the lap cover due to contact of the drooping portion of the lap cover on the floor while not in use because the length is often shorter than the length from the front end till the rear end of the seat part of the chair.
In this case, the lap cover 3 is not particularly specified, but may be preferably composed of a cloth having an appropriate heat insulation such as thick knit cloth, woven cloth, or blanket.
The fabric for composing the lap cover 3 is as shown in
As described herein, this padded seat 1 for a chair is equipped with a lifting and retaining mechanism 2 for selectively maintaining the elbow part 12 between a state tilted to the inner side along the surface of the seat 11 and an upright state, and by maintaining the elbow part 12 in an upright state of the elbow part 12 provided nearly along the overall length of the seat 11, it helps to solve the problems of the conventional chair, that is, cooling of the body, disclosure of the clothes of the occupant, demanding consideration about the attention to the state of the clothes.
In addition, by the back rest 13, heat insulation of the back side can be enhanced.
Further, by using this padded seat 1 for a chair in particular in a chair not furnished with back rest, the elbow part 12 can be maintained in a state tilted to the inner side along the surface of the seat part 11, and hence the elbow part 12 does not interfere when the chair is stored in the space beneath the desk, and the chair can be neatly stored in the space beneath the desk.
Herein, the padded seat for a chair of the invention is described by reference to embodiments, but the invention is not limited only to the illustrated embodiments alone, but may be freely changed and modified in configuration within a scope not departing from the true spirit thereof.
The padded seat for a chair of the invention is intended to solve the conventional problems, such as cooling of the body, disclosure of the clothes of the occupant, and necessity to pay attention to the state of the clothes, and also disturbance of the elbow part when storing the chair in the space beneath the desk, and hence it can be widely applied in the padded seat installed and used in a general office chair, or other padded seat used in various chair.
