Claims
- 1. An adaptor for a paintball gun intended to induce spin onto a paintball exiting the barrel of the paintball gun comprising:
a structure having first and second end portions, said first portion including an elongated aperture along a first longitudinal reference axis, where said first portion is adapted to fit snugly over a barrel of a paintball gun thereby extending the barrel of said paintball gun; and a second portion, opposite said first portion, forming an open trough-like cavity, wherein said trough-like cavity is generally mal-aligned with said paintball gun barrel such that a spin is imparted upon a paintball fired from said paintball gun barrel as it passes longitudinally through said trough-like cavity and exits therefrom.
- 2. The adaptor of claim 1 wherein the inner surface of said trough-like cavity is constructed from a material intended to impart spin so as to impart backspin onto said paint ball as it passes longitudinally along said trough-like cavity.
- 3. The adaptor of claim 1 further including an adjustment means for adjusting the alignment of said trough-like cavity relative to said paint gun barrel.
- 4. The adaptor of claim 1 wherein said structure is a unitary structure.
- 5. The adaptor of claim 1 wherein said unitary structure is constructed from a elastomeric material.
- 6. The adaptor of claim 1 wherein said structure includes a pair of apertures for receiving adjustment pins capable of affecting the backspin of a paintball fired from the gun.
- 7. The adaptor of claim 1 wherein said structure is constructed from a pliable and moldable material.
- 8. An adaptor for a paintball gun intended to induce spin onto a paintball exiting the barrel of the paintball gun comprising:
a structure having first and second end portions, said first portion including an elongated aperture along a first longitudinal reference axis, where said first portion is adapted to fit snugly over a barrel of a paintball gun thereby extending the barrel of said paintball gun; a second portion, opposite said first portion, forming an open trough-like cavity, wherein said trough-like cavity is generally mal-aligned with said paintball gun barrel such that a spin is imparted upon a paintball fired from said paintball gun barrel as it passes longitudinally through said trough-like cavity and exits therefrom; and a metallic structure molded within said structure substantially longitudinally in alignment said trough-like cavity for providing drop compensation adjustment capable of affecting the backspin of a paintball fired from the gun.
