Claims
- 1. An elevated floor assembly comprising:
- a plurality of base panels each having an upper surface, a lower surface and a peripheral edge each of said base panels including a base panel cladding strip received along said base panel edges, said base panel cladding strips each having a generally upright web extending approximately the thickness of said base panel edge, and a generally horizontal access panel engaging flange extending laterally and outwardly from said web;
- a plurality of access panels each having an upper surface, a lower surface and a peripheral edge; and
- a plurality of support legs detachably coupled to said base panels, said base panels and said access panels being positioned in alternating juxtaposition whereby said base panels are supported by said support legs and said access panels are supported by said base panel cladding strip flanges.
- 2. The invention as claimed in claim 1, said base panel cladding strips each extending along the length of its respective base panel peripheral edge and including upper and lower, generally horizontal base panel engaging flanges for engaging the upper and lower surfaces of said base panel.
- 3. The invention as claimed in claim 2, said lower base panel engaging flanges and said access panel engaging flanges each having end portions engageable with said support legs whereby said base panel cladding strips are supported by said support legs and said base panels are supported by said base panel cladding strips.
- 4. The invention as claimed in claim 3, said support legs each including a generally vertical support rod and an uppermost, generally horizontal base panel supporting plate, said supporting plate engageable with said base panel cladding strip end portions.
- 5. The invention as claimed in claim 4, said generally vertical support rod comprising first and second telescoping members and means for adjusting the height of said support rod by shifting the position of said first and second telescoping members relative to each other.
- 6. The invention as claimed in claim 4, said support legs each including a lowermost ground engaging plate and means for adjustably coupling said ground engaging plate to said vertical support rod whereby the angular tilt of said ground engaging plate is selectively alterable relative to said vertical support rod.
- 7. The invention as claimed in claim 1 including an access panel cladding strip received along said access panel edges, each access panel cladding strip having a generally upright web extending approximately the thickness of said access panel.
- 8. The invention as claimed in claim 7, said access panel cladding strips each extending along the length of its respective access panel peripheral edge and including upper and lower, generally horizontal access panel engaging flanges for engaging the upper and lower surfaces of said access panel.
- 9. The invention as claimed in claim 8, said access panel generally upright web being canted slightly inwardly towards the center of said access panel from said upper access panel engaging flange towards said lower access panel engaging flange.
- 10. The invention as claimed in claim 1, including a plurality of fixed length subfloor legs detachably coupled to certain of said adjustable support legs whereby said elevated floor assembly includes a plurality of stepped levels.
- 11. The invention as claimed in claim 10, including a generally vertical enclosure panel for spacing the gap between said plurality of stepped levels.
