BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a panel assembly structure for multiple purposes, and more particularly to a panel assembly structure that is applied on screens, decoration panels, partitions, display boards or light boxes.
2. Description of Prior Art
A conventional panel assembly structure uses a panel fixed to a base directly. This assembly makes the panel hard to disengage for replacement. Therefore, the user has to tear down the parts, which is time-consuming and requires more labor and cost. This action may even damage the basic construction.
U.S. Pat. Nos. 4,063,393, 4,114,247, 4,913,576 and 5,623,800 disclosed assembled decoration panels. However, these are not applicable to screens, decoration panels, partitions, display boards, light boxes and many other devices which require easy assembly and quick detachable means.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a panel assembly structure, which provides detachable panels for quick replacement.
To achieve the purpose, the present invention comprises a base comprising a number of first connecting members protruding therefrom; and a number of panels, each said panel comprising a second connecting member corresponding to said first connecting member of said base for connecting purpose, a first space being defined between said base and each said panel, a second space being defined between every two of said panels, said second space being interconnected with said first space, said second space having a cross-section width smaller than that of said first space.
Preferably, said first connecting member of said base is a raised wall to form a hollow enclosed space therein.
Preferably, said base is formed with a number of recesses, each said recess corresponding in position to said second space and having a width the same as that of said second space.
Preferably, said first connecting member of said base and said second connecting member of said panel are tenons for engagement.
Alternatively, said first connecting member of said base and said second connecting member of said panel are a bolt and a threaded hole for engagement.
Alternatively, said first connecting member of said base and said second connecting member of said panel are a resilient buckle and a hole for engagement.
The present invention provides replaceable panels with respect to the base.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
As shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, a panel assembly structure for multiple purposes in accordance with a first preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a base 1, and a number of panels 2.
The base 1 comprises a number of first connecting members 11. The first connecting members 11 are raised walls protruding from the base 1 to form a number of hollow enclosed sections on the base 1.
Each of the panels 2 comprises a second connecting member 21 corresponding to the first connecting member 11. The second connecting member 21 protrudes from an inner side of the panel 2, and is inserted into and engages with the first connecting member 11. A first space 3 is defined between the base 1 and the panel 2. A second space 4 is defined between every two of adjacent panels 2. The second space 4 is interconnected with the first space 3, as shown in FIG. 3. The first space 3 has a width D, and the second space 4 has a width d. The width d of the second space 4 is smaller than the width D of the first space 3.
FIG. 4 shows a second preferred embodiment of the present invention. The base 1A is formed with a number of recesses 12A. Each recess 12A corresponds in position to the second space 4.
As shown in FIGS. 4 through 6, the second space 4 is interconnected with the first space 3, and the recess 12A corresponds in position to the second space 4. The recess 12A has a width the same as the width of the second space 4. As shown in FIG. 6, carrying boards 5 and 5A are inserted into the second space 4, the first space 3 and the recess 12A to secure the carrying boards 5 and 5A on the base 1A in position. This arrangement makes the insertion of the carrying boards 5 and 5A more steady.
FIG. 7 shows a third preferred embodiment of the present invention. The carrying boards 5B and 5C comprise engaging parts 51B and 51C. When the carrying boards 5B and 5C are inserted from the outside panel 2 and the base 1, the engaging parts 51B and 51C will engage with the first space 3 and the second space 4 to hold the carrying boards 5B and 5C firmly and steadily.
FIG. 8 shows a fourth preferred embodiment of the present invention. The second connecting member 21A of the panel 2 is a solid block to be inserted into and engage with the first connecting member 11A of the base 1.
FIG. 9 shows a fifth preferred embodiment of the present invention. The second connecting member 21B of the panel 2B is larger in size than the first connecting member 11A of the base 1A. The second connecting member 21B fits onto and engages with the first connecting member 11A.
The first connecting members 11, 11A and the second connecting members 21, 21A and 21B are corresponding tenons for connection, and they may be exchanged with each other.
FIG. 10 shows a sixth preferred embodiment of the present invention. The base 1B and the panels 2C are connected together by means of bolts and threaded holes. The base 1B is formed with a number of through holes 13B. The first connecting member 11B of the base 1B is a bolt, and the second connecting member 21C of the panel 2C is a threaded hole. The first connecting member 11B (bolt) is inserted through the through hole 13B and into the second connecting member 21C (threaded hole) to secure the panel 2C to the base 1B. The first connecting members 11 or 11A protrude from the base 1B, which keep the first space 3 and the second space 4 upon the connection of the base 1B and the panel 2C. However, if the first connecting member 11B (male threaded section) is longer than the second connecting member 21C (female threaded section), the first space 3 and the second space 4 may still be formed. The connecting means of the first connecting member 11B and the second connecting member 21C may be exchanged with each other.
FIGS. 11 and 12 show a seventh preferred embodiment of the present invention. The base 1C and the panels 2D are connected together by means of buckles and holes. As shown in FIG. 11, the first connecting member 11C is formed with a hole 111C, and the second connecting member 21D is provided with a resilient buckle 211D. The resilient buckle 211D is inserted into the hole 111C to secure the panel 2D to the base 1C. As shown in FIG. 12, the resilient buckle 211D disengages from the hole 111C so that the panel 2D detaches from the base 1C. The first connecting member 11C and the second connecting member 21D may be exchanged with each other.
FIG. 13 shows an eighth preferred embodiment of the present invention. A circular groove 24E is formed among the panels 2E for insertion of objects such as the carrying boards 5 and 5A.
This invention designs to have the panels detachable from the base so as to replace with new outlook or to reassemble. The first connecting member and the second connecting member may be connected by means of glue, high frequency melting or any other manners. The surface of the panel may be attached, printed or decorated with designs. Furthermore, the panel may be in square, rectangle, triangle or any other shapes. The connecting means may be varied to be fixed or clipped. The first and second connecting members may be shaped into square, rectangle, triangle or any other shapes. Still further, the panel may also be formed with luminescence display or LCD.
