Claims
- 1. A paper coating agent consisting essentially of a particulate polyvinyl alcohol having an average particle diameter of 0.01 to 1 .mu.m and a degree of saponification of 70 to 100 mole %, said polyvinyl alcohol being substantially insoluble in water at 20.degree. C.
- 2. A paper coating agent consisting essentially of an aqueous slurry having a dispersoid of a particulate polyvinyl alcohol having an average particle diameter of 0.01 to 1 .mu.m and a degree of saponification of 70 to 100 mole %, said polyvinyl alcohol being substantially insoluble in water at 20.degree. C.
- 3. A paper coating agent consisting essentially of an aqueous slurry having a dispersoid of a particulate polyvinyl alcohol having an average particle diameter of 0.01 to 1 .mu.m and a degree of saponification of 70 to 100 mole % and a pigment, said polyvinyl alcohol being substantially insoluble in water at 20.degree. C.
