Abstract
A parking space arrangement for vehicles is proposed, wherein the parking space arrangement includes a plurality of parking spaces, wherein at least one vehicle can be parked in each parking space, and wherein two adjacent parking spaces are each at an angle of between 15 and 50 degrees with respect to each other.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application claims priority to German Patent Application No. DE 10 2015 108 610.7, filed Jun. 1, 2015, which is incorporated by reference herein in its entirety.


FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a parking space arrangement for vehicles, wherein the parking space arrangement comprises a plurality of parking spaces, and wherein at least one vehicle can be parked in each parking space, and wherein the parking spaces are each arranged offset with respect to one another.


BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Such parking space arrangements are known, for example, in the form of large parking lots for trucks or passenger vehicles. Such parking lots can frequently be found in the region of filling and service stations on motorways.


In the case of parking space arrangements, the task is basically always set of arranging as many parking spaces as possible on as small an area as possible without considerably increasing the maneuvering effort for the vehicles to be parked in the parking spaces.


It is known from the prior art to arrange the plurality of parking spaces in two rows, between which driving lanes are in each case formed. Said parking spaces are therefore arranged either parallel or at right angles to one another. A disadvantage of such parking space arrangements is that the many driving lanes take up a comparatively high amount of space which is no longer available as a parking space area.


SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Described herein is a parking space arrangement for vehicles, in particular for trucks, in which, firstly, an efficient use of space, in particular in respect of the required entrance and exit ways, is achieved and, secondly, the maneuvering effort for the vehicle driver is not increased or is minimized.


The parking space arrangement comprises a plurality of parking spaces, wherein at least one vehicle can be parked in each parking space, and wherein adjacent parking spaces are each arranged offset with respect to one another, and wherein, furthermore, two adjacent parking spaces are each at an angle of between 15 and 50 degrees with respect to one another.


The parking space arrangement according to aspects of the invention has the advantage in relation to the prior art that the portion of entrance and exit ways leading to the parking spaces and away from the parking spaces is minimized without the maneuvering effort for the vehicle drivers increasing. This leads to a greater portion of the area being available for parking spaces. To this end, the adjacent parking spaces are arranged offset with respect to one another and obliquely, in each case by an angle of between 5 and 50 degrees, with respect to one another. Adjacent parking spaces should be understood here within the context of the present invention as meaning parking spaces which are arranged next to one another within the widest meaning and without a further parking space lying therebetween. The parking spaces form in particular marked parking areas for trucks and/or passenger vehicles.


Advantageous refinements and developments of the invention can be gathered from the dependent claims and from the description with reference to the drawings.


According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that the angle between two adjacent parking spaces is 10 to 35 degrees, preferably 15 to 25 degrees and particularly preferably essentially 20 degrees. It has been shown that, at these angles, an optimum ratio between parking space area and traffic area of the entrance and exit ways can be achieved with the advantages described above.


According to a further preferred embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that the plurality of parking spaces are arranged around a common central axis, wherein each parking space is oriented tangentially to a circle which is concentric with respect to the central axis. A type of parking lot island, around which the parking spaces are arranged, thus arises in an advantageous manner. Facilities for the care and relaxation of the vehicle occupants can then be arranged in the interior of the parking lot island, and therefore the vehicle occupants, as they leave/enter the vehicle, do not have to step on or even across any entrance or exit ways. The safety of the vehicle occupants is therefore increased.


Alternatively, it is also conceivable for the plurality of parking spaces to be arranged around the common central axis, wherein each parking space is oriented tangentially to an ellipse surrounding the central axis. In this case, the angle between two adjacent parking spaces varies in each case between 5 to 50 degrees and preferably between 10 and 35 degrees. The variation depends on the location of the ellipse and on the eccentricity of the ellipse.


According to a further preferred embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that the parking space arrangement comprises an entrance road which is arranged, in particular concentrically, around the central axis and which runs outside and along the plurality of parking spaces. The vehicles pass in an advantageous manner from the circular-ring-shaped or elliptical entrance road directly to the parking spaces, and therefore the vehicle drivers do not need to make an increased maneuvering effort. A vehicle driver who would like to park his vehicle in one of the parking spaces can thereby drive past the plurality of parking spaces on the entrance road until he can turn into the desired parking space. The parking space arrangement is therefore also suitable for trucks and heavy goods trucks which are comparatively difficult to maneuver.


The present invention furthermore relates to a service station for vehicles, wherein the service station has the parking space arrangement according to aspects of the invention. The service station may comprise, for example, a filling and/or rest stop and/or a parking lot, such as a motorway or “park and ride” parking lot. It is conceivable for a service area for the occupants of the vehicles, for example a restaurant, bathroom facilities, open spaces, recreation facilities or the like, to be formed within the concentric circle or the ellipse.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The parking space arrangement 1 has a plurality of parking spaces 2 in which trucks can be parked. The parking spaces 2 are arranged here around a common central axis 3. The parking spaces 2 are each arranged tangentially with respect to a circle 4 arranged concentrically with respect to the central axis 3. Furthermore, the parking spaces 2 are arranged in such a manner that the directly adjacent parking spaces 2 are always offset with respect to one another. The parking spaces 2 form in particular marked parking areas for the trucks.


The parking spaces 2 of the parking space arrangement 1 are surrounded by an entrance and exit road 5 running concentrically around the respective central axis 3, via which trucks can reach the parking spaces 2 and leave same again.


In the parking space arrangement 1, adjacent parking spaces 2 are each arranged obliquely with respect to one another in such a manner that an angle of approx. 20 degrees is formed between two adjacent parking spaces 2.


With the parking space arrangement 1, it is advantageously possible to realize a comparatively large number of parking spaces 2 in a small area, which parking spaces can be reached by just a single entrance and exit way 5 without an increased maneuvering effort arising for the vehicle drivers for this purpose. The entrance and exit ways 5 are in particular one-way roads.


A rest area 6 for the vehicle occupants of the parked trucks is formed within the concentric circle 4 of the parking space arrangement 1. Said rest area 6 comprises, for example, facilities for the care and relaxation of the vehicle occupants, such as a restaurant, park benches, open spaces, bathroom facilities and the like.


It is conceivable for a filling station to be arranged within the concentric circle 4 of the upper parking space arrangement 1.


The two parking space arrangements 1 are preferably part of a service and filling station 7.


Alternatively, it would also be conceivable for the parking spaces 2 to be oriented not tangentially with respect to the circle 4, but rather tangentially with respect to an ellipse (not illustrated). In this case, the angle between two adjacent parking spaces 2 would vary preferably between 15 and 50 degrees depending on the location in the region of the ellipse and depending on the eccentricity of the ellipse.

Claims
  • 1. A parking space arrangement for vehicles comprising: a plurality of parking spaces, wherein at least one vehicle can be parked in each parking space,
  • 2. The parking space arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the angle between two adjacent parking spaces is 10 to 35 degrees.
  • 3. The parking space arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of parking spaces are arranged around a common central axis, wherein each parking space is oriented tangentially to a circle which is concentric with respect to the central axis.
  • 4. The parking space arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of parking spaces are arranged around a common central axis, wherein each parking space is oriented tangentially to an ellipse surrounding the central axis.
  • 5. The parking space arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of parking spaces are arranged around a common central axis, and wherein the parking space arrangement comprises an entrance and exit road which is arranged around the central axis and which runs outside and along the plurality of parking spaces.
  • 6. A service station for vehicles having a parking space arrangement as claimed in claim 1.
  • 7. The service station as claimed in claim 6, wherein a service area for occupants of the vehicles is formed within the concentric circle.
  • 8. The parking space arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the angle between two adjacent parking spaces is 15 to 25 degrees.
  • 9. The parking space arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the angle between two adjacent parking spaces is 20 degrees.
