Claims
- 1. A nylon 66 apparel yarn suitable for false-twist texturing, said yarn having:
- (a) a denier between 15 and 250;
- (b) a normalized SAXS peak intensity of at least 1.3; and
- (c) a normalized lamellar dimensional product of at least 1.3.
- 2. A multifilament nylon 66 feed yarn for drawtexturing spun at a spinning speed greater than 2200 MPM, said yarn being wound on a package at a winding tension less than 0.4 grams per denier and having:
- (a) an RV greater than 46;
- (b) an elongation between 55 and 150%; and
- (c) a denier between 15 and 250.
- 3. The yarn defined in claim 2, wherein said winding tension is between 0.03 and 0.25 grams per denier.
- 4. The yarn defined in claim 2, wherein said yarn has a normalized SAXS peak intensity greater than 1.3 and a normalized lamellar dimensional product greater than 1.3.
- 5. The yarn defined in claim 2, wherein said yarn has a denier between 35 and 140.
- 6. A multifilament nylon 66 feed yarn for drawtexturing spun at a spinning speed greater than 2200 MPM, said yarn being wound on a package at a winding tension less than 0.4 grams per denier and having:
- (a) an RV greater than 53;
- (b) an elongation between 55 and 150%; and
- (c) a denier between 15 and 250.
- 7. The yarn defined in claim 6, wherein said winding tension is between 0.03 and 0.25 grams per denier.
- 8. The yarn defined in claim 6, wherein said yarn has a normalized SAXS peak intensity greater than 1.3 and a normalized lamellar dimensional product greater than 1.3.
- 9. The yarn defined in claim 6, wherein said yarn has a normalized SAXS peak intensity greater than 1.75 and a normalized lamellar dimensional product greater than 1.75.
- 10. A multifilament nylon 66 feed yarn for drawtexturing spun at a spinning speed greater than 2200 MPM, said yarn being wound on a package at a winding tension less than 0.4 grams per denier and having:
- (a) an RV greater than 60;
- (b) an elongation between 55 and 150%; and
- (c) a denier between 15 and 250.
- 11. The yarn defined in claim 10, wherein said winding tension is between 0.03 and 0.25 grams per denier.
- 12. The yarn defined in claim 10, wherein said yarn has a normalized SAXS peak intensity greater than 1.3 and a normalized lamellar dimensional product greater than 1.3.
- 13. The yarn defined in claim 10, wherein said yarn has a normalized SAXS peak intensity greater than 1.75 and a normalized lamellar dimensional product greater than 1.75.
- 14. A multifilament nylon 66 feed yarn for drawtexturing spun at a spinning speed greater than 2200 MPM, said yarn being wound on a package at a winding tension less than 0.4 grams per denier and having:
- (a) a denier between 15 and 250;
- (b) a normalized SAXS peak intensity greater than 1.3; and
- (c) a normalized lamellar dimensional product greater than 1.3.
- 15. The defined in claim 14, wherein said normalized SAXS peak intensity and said normalized lamellar dimensional product are greater than 1.75.
- 16. A multifilament nylon 66 feed yarn for drawtexturing spun at a spinning speed greater than 2200 MPM, said yarn being wound on a package at a winding tension less than 0.4 grams per denier and having:
- (a) a denier between 15 and 250; and
- (b) a normalized SAXS peak intensity greater than 1.3.
- 17. The yarn defined in claim 16, wherein said yarn has a normalized SAXS peak intensity greater than 1.75.
