Claims
- 1-20. (Cancelled).
- 21. A method of managing data in a database system having an enterprise server, at least one docking client, and at least one workgroup user client, comprising:
creating a distinguished transaction against a local database resident on the workgroup user client; copying the distinguished transaction from the workgroup user client to the docking client in a manner that indicates that the distinguished transaction did not originate at the enterprise server; applying the distinguished transaction against an agency database resident on the docking client; copying from the docking client to the enterprise server one or more transactions, the transactions copied from the docking client to the enterprise server excluding transactions indicated to originate at the enterprise server and including the distinguished transaction; and applying against an enterprise database on the enterprise server the transactions copied from the docking client to the enterprise server.
- 22. The method of claim 21 wherein the local database resident on the workgroup user client is a partially replicated version of the enterprise database on the enterprise server.
- 23. The method of claim 21 wherein the workgroup user client is a mobile client.
- 24. The method of claim 21, further comprising synchronizing the work group user database and the enterprise database.
- 25. A computer-readable medium whose contents cause a computing system to perform a method of imaging data in a database system having an enterprise server, at least one docking client, and at least one workgroup user client, comprising:
creating a distinguished transaction against a local database resident on the workgroup user client; copying the distinguished transaction from the workgroup user client to the docking client in a manner that indicates that the distinguished transaction did not originate at the enterprise server; applying the distinguished transaction against an agency database resident on the docking client; copying from the docking client to the enterprise server one or more transactions, the transactions copied from the docking client to the enterprise server excluding transactions indicated to originate at the enterprise server and including the distinguished transaction; and applying against an enterprise database on the enterprise server the transactions copied from the docking client to the enterprise server.
- 26. The computer-readable medium of claim 25 wherein the local database resident on the workgroup user client is a partially replicated version of an enterprise database on the enterprise server.
- 27. The computer-readable medium of claim 25 wherein the workgroup user client is a mobile client.
- 28. A database system, comprising:
a workgroup user client, in which a distinguished transaction is created against a local database resident on the work group user client; a docking client, to which the distinguished transaction is copied from the workgroup user client in a manner that indicates that the distinguished transaction did not originate at the enterprise server, an agency database being resident on the docking client against which the distinguished transaction is applied; and an enterprise server, to which one or more transactions are copied from the docking client, the transactions copied from the docking client to the enterprise server excluding transactions indicated to originate at the enterprise server and including the distinguished transaction, an enterprise database being resident on the enterprise server against which the transaction is copied from the docking client to the enterprise server are applied.
- 29. The database system of claim 28 wherein the local database resident on the workgroup user client is a partially replicated version of the enterprise database resident on the enterprise server.
- 30. The database system of claim 28 wherein the workgroup user client is a mobile client.
- 31. A plurality of generated data signals that:
conveys from a workgroup user client to a docking client a distinguished database transaction created and applied on the workgroup user client; and conveys from the docking client to an enterprise server one or more database transactions, the one or more database transactions excluding database transactions indicated to originate at the enterprise server and including the distinguished database transaction, such that the one or more database transactions may be applied against an enterprise database resident on the enterprise server.
- 32. The method of claim 21 comprising synchronizing the work group user database and the enterprise database.
