Claims
- 1. A solid particulate granular pigment composition which is readily dispersible in oleoresinous vehicle systems and consists essentially of from 25 to 95% by weight of at least one pigment; from 1 to 15% of a cationic surfactant or blend of surfactants; and from 5 to 75% of a water-insoluble, non-crystalline, friable, thermoplastic polyester resin having a hydroxyl value of 75-150 mg. KOH/gram of resin and a Ring and Ball softening point of from about 65.degree. to 100.degree. C. which polyester resin is the condensation product of phthalic anhydride, p-tert. butylbenzoic acid and trimethylol ethane.
- 2. The composition of claim 1 wherein the pigment is an inorganic pigment.
- 3. The composition of claim 2 wherein the pigment is a lead chromate-containing pigment.
- 4. The composition of claim 1 wherein the pigment is an organic pigment.
- 5. The composition of claim 4 wherein the pigment is a copper phthalocyanine pigment.
