Claims
- 1. A partly aromatic copolymide consisting essentially of:
- (A) 50-80% by weight of monomer units derived from terephthalic acid and hexamethylenediamine, and
- (B) 20-50% by weight of monomer units derived from .epsilon.-caprolactam, wherein said copolyamide has a triamine content of less than 0.3% by weight, a melting point in the range from 260.degree. C. to above 300.degree. C. and a glass transition temperature higher than 75.degree. C.
- 2. The copolyamide of claim 1, consisting essentially of:
- A) 60-75% by weight of monomer units derived from terephthalic acid and hexamethylenediamine, and
- B) 25-40% by weight of monomer units derived from .epsilon.-caprolactam.
- 3. A molded article comprising the copolyamide of claim 1.
- 4. The molded article of claim 3, wherein said molded article is a film or fiber.
