Claims
- 1. A microwave susceptor comprising:
a dimensionally stable substrate; a plastic film laminated to the substrate; and a generally continuous layer of metal deposited on the plastic film, wherein
the metal layer comprises a generally contiguous microwave interactive area; the metal layer contains a plurality of microwave transparent areas that enhance the heating of the metal layer; the transparent areas are spaced apart from each other; the transparent areas are distributed across an entire surface area defining the microwave susceptor; and each of the transparent areas has a major dimension of about one eighth the length of a wavelength of microwaves generated by an operating microwave oven.
