Claims
- 1. An individual isomer selected from the group consisting of: ##STR98## or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
- 2. The isomer according to claim 1 which is the hydrochloride salt.
- 3. A pharmaceutical composition comprising an isomer according to claim 2 together with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, diluent or excipient.
- 4. A method for inhibiting bone loss or bone resorption comprising administering to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of an isomer of claim 2.
- 5. A method according to claim 4 wherein said bone loss or bone resorption is due to menopause or ovariectomy.
- 6. A method of lowering serum cholesterol levels comprising administering to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of an isomer of claim 2.
- 7. A method of inhibiting estrogen-dependent cancer comprising administering to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of an isomer of claim 2.
- 8. The method according to claim 7 wherein the cancer is breast cancer.
